He trained alongside the Glider-Landed Troops – trained to sit 30 to a wooden glider (a platoon) and crash-land on a military target before deploying (if surviving). Alfred either landed on Sword Beach in the first landing-boats and fought his way (ten-miles) in-land to relieve the British Glider Troops landed in Caen – or he landed in Caen with the Glider Troops and tried to hold the area until relieved by the British Army. Either way (we are not exactly sure – but must assume the former) the German resistance was so intense the first-wave Units were decimated and many of the early objectives were not achieved. My grandfather, when talking about his experiences many years later, described how he had to kill many people as he moved through the French and German countryside. He would fight his way to Hamburg before he was granted rest and leave. It was this killing that negatively affected him psychologically. Indeed, there hundreds of thousands of men in the UK who had to re-integrate into British society and pretend nothing had happened.

We had to wait for the paints to arrive in the post – and I also acquired a box of 1941-42 Soviet Red Army soldiers which we have not yet assembled. The metal P40 aeroplane was purchased at the Imperial War Museum and was used by the US volunteers who fought for China against the Imperial Japanese before and during WWII. the families of these brave American men are still honoured and welcomed in China today. Of course, I include my English and Hakka Chinese grandparents. Alfred Wyles was in the first wave during D-Day, Arthur Gibson fought in the North Atlantic, and Chan Tin Sang fought in the New Territories in the People’s Militia. The USSR lost 41 million men, women, and children between 1941-1945 – 27 million dead and 16 million wounded. As allies of the UK – the Soviet Red Army carried-out the bulk of the fighting. The USSR was comprised of 15 countries – with Russia taking a coordinating role.

Lin stressed that the U.S. is the biggest source of disruption to the international nuclear order and global strategic stability. In the area of arms control, the U.S. simply let the New START treaty expire to the detriment of trust between major countries and global strategic stability. The U.S. clings to the policy of first use of nuclear weapons. The U.S. has spent trillions of dollars to upgrade its nuclear triad, and has been working to build a global anti-missile system and establish forward deployment of strategic assets. The U.S. applies double standards on nuclear non-proliferation. All of those seriously disrupt global strategic balance and stability and undermine international and regional peace and security.

Furthermore, the Vatican was permitted to retain ALL the advantageous it was granted by the Mussolini regime. After the war, the Pope asked Churchill to resettle 10,000 Ukrainian SS men in the UK on the grounds they were “good Catholics” – despite them raping, torturing, and murdering millions of loyal Soviet men, women, and children. This request was agreed and these Nazi Ukrainians were distributed throughout Scotland under the cover story that they were “Polish”. Andras Kun OFM appears to have been expelled from the St Franciscan (monastic) Order he was a member of in 1943 for refusing to stop his overt totalitarian support. Andras Kun was a member of the Order of Friars Minor (OFM) – a Catholic mendicant order founded by St Francis of Assisi in 1209 – which is dedicated to living the Gospel, practicing poverty, and fraternity, often called “little brothers” (Friars Minor) for their humility. A “monk” is not a “priest” – and although the monk Andras Kun was training to be a priest – he never qualified. It seems the Vatican abandoned him whilst he was tried and executed in Hungary – a staunch Catholic country – which is once again right-wing today.

“Through diplomatic channels, including the delivery of a relevant note by the Ministry, we have issued a stern warning to Japan that the deployment of U.S.-made medium-range missiles on its relevant territory is unacceptable, regardless of the pretext, whether on a permanent, temporary, or other basis,” she noted.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson urged the Japanese government led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to “return to the foundations on which Japan’s post-war peaceful development is built.”

“These foundations are enshrined in the outcomes of World War II — foundations that, unfortunately, as we are once again compelled to note, have not yet been fully acknowledged by Japan,” she said.

The spokesperson stressed that in 1945, Japan signed the Instrument of Surrender, explicitly undertook to carry out the provisions of the Potsdam Proclamation in good faith and unconditionally return Taiwan to China. China resumed exercise of sovereignty over Taiwan and recovered Taiwan both in law and in practice. In 1949, the PRC government replaced the ROC government. This is a change of government in which China, as a subject under international law, did not change and China’s sovereignty and inherent territorial boundaries stayed unchanged.
