The bourgeois ‘lie’ that then followed (fuelled by ‘Orwell’ and others), was that this purge of traitors was a) ordered personally by Stalin, and b) aimed at Red Army Officers who hated Stalin and wanted him removed! Stalin was the least of their worries as he possessed very little personal power (being ‘elected’ into Office), but this false story has ‘stuck’ in Western discourse and is found almost universally in explanations of ‘why’ the Nazi Germans were able to make such in-roads into the USSR in the first six-months of their 1941 attack! The fake story is that Stalin’s purges so weakened the Red Army that it was unable to perform its allotted duties when push came to shove! This is disingenuous to the power of the racist ideology Hitler propagated and the ‘new’ tactics and very good technology that Nazi Germany developed – and the fact that when all this was integrated within the German people it defeated the combined military might of Western Europe in a matter of days – with Stalin having had no direct influence over the Officer Corp of those defeated countries!
DPR: German Communist Party Protests Berlin ‘Ban’ on Soviet Red Flag! (24.5.2022)
The GKP filed an urgent Appeal against this obvious attack upon the International Working-Class – but this Appeal was ‘Denied’ when heard by the Administrative Court of Berlin and the Higher Administrative Court. The reasons given for these decisions were purely arbitrary and outrageous! The Berlin Authorities declared the Soviet Red Flag (which carries a ‘Hammer and Sickle’) to be a ‘fascist’ symbol (but would not permit a ‘discussion’ as to WHY they thought this) – and declared the Soviet Red Army as being a vehicle for tyranny, oppression and persecution (no discussion was allowed explaining the Red Army ‘Liberation’ of the Nazi German Death Camps)! As the ‘modern’ Russian Army still carries this Red Flag – the Berlin Courts Ruled – this flag can no longer be carried (or displayed) ‘legally’ in public!

Whilst many ordinary French citizens took-up arms in support of the occupying Nazi Germans (and ‘killed’ liberating British soldiers on D-Day) – the French Communists (and their ‘Internationalist’ Comrades) stood their ground and supported the arriving Allies! For their sacrifice and bravery – the US re-wrote history in its own corrupt image, and falsely presented the Communist Party as a swastika-wearing ogre that did everything in its power to assist Hitler! The truth, as usual, was much different, as it was only the Communist Party that could be relied upon to ‘fight’ and ‘oppose’ fascism, Nazism and all forms of imperialism! With the US, UK and EU now openly supporting the (illegal) Neo-Nazi government of ‘Maidan’ Ukraine – it is yet again the ‘Communist Party’ which is providing a crucial level of support to the Russian efforts of ‘de-Nazifying’ Donbass!
