We, in the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, affirm the revival of the issue of the prisoners, and our support in a way that befits their sacrifices, steadfastness and patience, and that the issue of the prisoners requires from us broad solidarity, daily escalation, and mass and popular movements in support of and advocacy for the prisoners.

Israelis Call for Ceasefire!

Palestine: Hamas Trusts Xinhua with Ceasefire Demands! (27.4.2024)

The statement urged the international community to expose the genocide targeting children and civilians in Gaza, prioritize ending it, and resist Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s destabilizing policies aimed at the region, driven by personal political motives.

Eighteen countries issued a joint statement on Thursday, calling on Hamas to “immediately release” the hostages it holds, stating that doing so “will lead to an immediate and long-term ceasefire in Gaza.”

Referring to nations with citizens held captive by Hamas since the attack on Israel last year, these countries stated that releasing the hostages “will facilitate additional humanitarian aid to all parts of Gaza and bring about a lasting cessation of hostilities.”

The statement explained that, in addition, residents in Gaza “will be able to return to their homes and lands with prior arrangements to ensure shelter and humanitarian assistance.”

The statement added, “Let us end this crisis so that we can all focus our efforts on bringing peace and stability to the region.”

The Houthis have been targeting Israeli-linked ships or ships heading to Israeli ports in the Red Sea since November last year in solidarity with Palestinians engaged in conflict with Israel.

Several ships have since been reportedly damaged, including the sinking of the British-operated cargo ship Rubymar in the Red Sea.

The Houthi attacks have forced several shipping companies to re-route around Africa, resulting in extended transit times and elevated costs.

A coalition of U.S. and British naval forces in the Red Sea has been launching airstrikes on Houthi military targets since January, which were responded to by the Houthis with more intensified attacks that targeted the coalition’s warships.

Zionist War Crimes: Pregnancy and Childbirth in Gaza – Umbilical Cords Torn by War! (23.4.2024)

Since last October 7th 2024, more than 20,000 children have been born in the Gaza Strip, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the majority of them in shelter centres under very harsh conditions, especially with most hospitals being bombed out of service, a shortage of medical staff (many executed by the IDF), and the absence of the basics necessary for the birth process, the simplest of which is Hygiene, which exposes the mother and her child to many health risks, while other women give birth in the streets. Hayat tells us that she gave birth to her baby girl at night in one of the shelters. Her neighbour, a displaced doctor, helped her deliver her foetus by the light of a mobile phone, and cut the umbilical cord with paper scissors.

The Palestinian Authority missed many opportunities to possess power cards, squandered the achievements and sacrifices of our people, and ignored all the data that had accumulated on the international scene as a result of its pursuit of humiliating American sponsorship, and continued its absurd approach for many years, which reinforced the Occupation of the land and the policies of Judaization and Settlement.

The Front calls on the countries of the world that stand by the Palestinian people to unite their efforts in continuing to press for fundamental Amendments to the United Nations laws, which guarantee that no country will use its veto to obstruct any decisions that affect the rights of any country struggling for its freedom and defeating the Occupation.

The Popular Front calls on all of humanity and the free people of the world to raise their voices loudly, to condemn the biased American positions, and to press for the trial of the leaders of the American Administration as war criminals, because of their continued commitment of crimes against humanity and their continued sponsorship and support of the Zionist “Genocidal Crimes” against the Palestinian people and the peoples of the world.
