Laos (near Vietnam) is a Buddhist-Socialist country which possesses a thriving Theravada Buddhist Sangha which fully supports the Communist Party of Laos and the development of a Socialist society!
Deprived of his father’s love at a young age, Stalin developed a distinctly rebellious character, a daring spirit of adventure, and a willingness to fight—key factors in his subsequent development as a staunch Marxist and Lenin’s successor. His personality enabled him to make tremendous historical contributions to Soviet governance, the Communist Party, and the military, leaving behind both glory and retribution. He was a historical giant, both charismatic and discerning.
Another tiger-trap is the “National Bolshevik” movement. To be clear, I am a Bolshevik (from the Chinese perspective) – but I am not a nationalist (Indeed, I am an “Internationalist” – a Maoist no less). The “Naz-Bol” movement evolved out of a fascist-infected (post-1991) Russia. This movement integrates Hitler’s ideology with a post-1945 US (Cold War) misidentification of Joseph Stalin. This flawed ideology misinforms that there is “no difference” between historical Hitler and a fictional Stalin. Well, 41 million dead and wounded Soviet citizens would beg to differ. Naz-Bols combine Marxist-Leninist economics with Hitler’s warped theories on race. This rejects the Marxist idea of “Internationalism”. On the face of it, these deluded individuals will talk highly of Stalin (as I do) – and then state he is no different to Hitler (which I definitely do not) – claiming both were ruthlessly racist (a complete lie – Stalin wasn’t even Russian).

Human trafficking continues to evolve, with traffickers adopting new and increasingly deceptive methods to exploit victims particularly women and children. Current data shows that one in three victims worldwide is a child, with girls being disproportionately affected. Fraud, manipulation, and coercion remain common tools used by traffickers to lure victims into exploitation.
In response, public education remains a cornerstone of prevention. Awareness campaigns help communities especially women, children, and at risk groups recognize and avoid trafficking schemes. These initiatives are essential in building informed and resilient communities that can resist exploitation.
In her remarks, Ms. Naly Sisoulith praised the Lao Women’s Union for its active role in empowering women, promoting gender equality, and supporting the Party and government’s socio-economic development efforts.
She also paid tribute to past and present members of the LWU for their dedication to advancing the rights and well-being of women across the country.
Established in 1955, the Lao Women’s Union has grown into a vital mass organization with branches nationwide, playing a central role in mobilizing women to participate in political, economic, and cultural activities.

The Buddha left society and lived on the forested outskirts of Hindu society. Of course, the Buddha still physically lived in India, and interfaced with Hindu society, but he did this under a completely new contract of understanding.
