Racist Reform UK - Not Quite as "Racist" as You Thought!

Warwick: Reform UK – Bright Spark “Bans Racist Flags” On Lamp-Post Safety Saga! (20.11.2-25)

Blogger’s Note: If you thought Andrea Jenkyns was the extent of Reform UK’s duplicitous buffoonery – think again! In one of a long list of scandals to hit Reform UK of late – a number of far-right political entities are beginning to “question” the loyalty of Farage to the Fuhrer’s message! Indeed, many Neo-Nazis luminaries are pouring a scathing pillbox fire onto Nigel Farage – even before his liberating forces have managed to secure a firm bridge-head on Britain’s beaches and streets. How can the average racist have confidence in Reform UK if its elected local representatives resort to this kind of “safety first” rhetoric? Surely, the reasoning goes, the presence of the UK national flag trumps even untoward lamp-posts who seem to not to have got the memo from Farage’s “Das Bunker”? Be that as it may, this sorry state of affairs gives credence to the saying “If you pay peanuts – you get monkeys!” What’s next – a memo about the “moronic working-class investing all their hopes in a piece of coloured material that is drenched in their blood – and has done nothing to enhance their well-being”? It’s beginning to look like Reform UK cannot be trusted with the very racism that has seen them sweep to a limited but worrying power – or lamp-posts for that matter. But the betrayal of the far-right does not end here – if only it did – as George Finch appears to be saying that LGBT people are “real”! It’s just that they shouldn’t have a flag that advertises their “realness”! ACW (20.11.2025)

The Reform leader of Warwickshire County Council has banned flags on lampposts ahead of Christmas due to “health and safety issues”.

In a statement posted on X, Councillor George Finch said he is “immensely proud of our national flags” but that they are not practical alongside Christmas lights.

Mr Finch said flags wrapped around lampposts in “wet and windy conditions and potentially coming into contact with lights” creates a “fire risk”.

He added: “What I am proposing is a sensible pattern and solution.

“During the winter and Christmas period, when the weather is at its worst and the lights need to go up, flags come down in those particular locations.

“Then, in the New Year, residents are encouraged to put their flags back up – fresh, tidy and in good condition.

“That was we honour our flags properly, rather than leaving them to rot.”

In July, Councillor George Finch, who is 19, became the youngest council leader in the UK.

One of his priorities was a new flag policy – limiting council flag-flying to the Union, St George’s and Warwickshire flags.

In August, he told ITV News Central about his views on the flag policy at Warwickshire County Council and the LGBTQ+ flag.

He said: “It wasn’t just about the flag. No. You know, I do believe that political flags with political symbols don’t represent the vast majority of Warwickshire.

“Yes. We have people in the LGBT community. Fine. Equal. They are normal people. But they don’t need a flag.

“You know, you haven’t got a flag for men’s mental health. You haven’t got a flag about children SEND needs.

“So why do they get a flag? It should be a non-political thing. It should be a Union flag, the Saint George’s flag and the Warwickshire flag. And then if there’s a royal attendance, then we raise the Royal Standard, that’s it.

“It’s simple. It’s not a political decision.”
