Bloggers Note: The offending Officer – a “Fire-Arms” Officer – has NOT been Suspended. Indeed, being removed from frontline duty is almost always temporary – designed to let media attention and public feeling blow-over – and usually amounts to a paid holiday. I have encountered “Fire-Arms” Officers on two occasions during my life. Both men were manic, unnecessarily aggressive, anti-social an reminded me of Traffic Wardens licensed to kill. I have reason to believe that one of these individuals participated in the murder of Brazilian national – Jean Charles da Silva e de Menezes – whilst he was on his was going to work using the Stockwell Tube Station on July 22nd, 2005. Jean Charles da Silva e de Menezes was murdered by “Fire-Arms” Officers because he “looked” Islamic. The Police issued a tissue of lies about the behaviour of their Officers on that day. An off-duty Police Officer sat on the Tube Train stated that the “Fire-Srms” Officers repeatedly shot Jean Charles da Silva e de Menezes in the head and did NOT allow him to be arrested peacefully. Meanwhile, the Tube Driver was made to lie face-down on the platform whilst a “Fire-Arms” Officer pointed a gun at his head screaming that he will find-out where his family lives and will execute his wife and children! The Union of the Tube Driver settled Out Of Court for a substantial amount of money – an action which allowed the Met Police to get away with its deficient behaviour. The reality is that we do not want or Police Service to deteriorate into its American equivalent. We, the British public, do not consent to being policed by madmen wielding guns! According to George Galloway, two relatives of the two victims being beaten in these videos are serving Police Officers! ACW (25.7.2024)

A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officer has been ‘removed from operational duties’ after a video showed a man being kicked in the head during an incident at Manchester Airport, it has been confirmed.
The force has also referred itself to the watchdog the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) following the emergence of the footage which it says captures a ‘truly shocking event’ that they ‘understand creates alarm.’
GMP previously said they were called at 8:25pm on Tuesday evening to an ‘altercation’ between members of the public in Terminal Two, before the officers were subjected to a ‘violent assault’ while trying to make an arrest.

Four men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray and assault of emergency service workers. Police said a female officer was left with a broken nose and that the other officers were hospitalised. The force also said that there was a risk of the armed officers’ ‘firearms being taken’.
GMP’s Assistant Chief Constable Wasim Chaudhry has tonight (Wednesday) issued a further statement on the incident. In it, he confirmed that a male officer has been ‘removed from operational duties.’ The force confirmed he has not been suspended.
The force initially said its Professional Standards Directorate was assessing the footage, and a referral has also been made to the IOPC Ass Ch Con Chaudhry added.
He said: “We know that a film of an incident at Manchester Airport that is circulating widely shows an event that is truly shocking, and that people are rightly extremely concerned about.
“The use of such force in an arrest is an unusual occurrence and one that we understand creates alarm. In advance of what is shown in the footage available, we were called to reports of an assault at Terminal 2, Manchester Airport at 8.25pm on Tuesday 23 July.
“The alleged suspect was seen on CCTV at a ticket machine in the car park and officers attended the location to arrest him. During our response, three officers were assaulted. One female officer suffered a broken nose and the other officers were forced to the ground and suffered injuries which required hospital treatment.
“One male officer has been removed from operational duties and we are making a voluntary referral of our policing response to the Independent Office of Police Conduct.
“Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault, assault of emergency worker, affray, and obstructing police. Two other men have also been arrested on suspicion of affray and assault of an emergency worker.”
In the video, a male officer can be seen aiming a taser at a man as he is lying on the ground. Onlookers can then be heard shouting before the officer then kicks and stamps on the man’s head.
During chaotic scenes, a person is heard yelling “move back”, before a female officer then appears to turn her taser and aim it at other people.
A number of voices can be heard pleading “stop kicking people”, with others shouting expletives, as a number of officers surround the man on the ground.

Seconds later, an officer is then seen to walk over to another man before pointing his taser at him. As he moves onto the ground on his knees and with his arms in the air, the officer then proceeds to kick him.
After the clip, which has widely shared and commented on on social media, emerged, the MP for Manchester Rusholme Afzal Khan urged GMP to “provide meaningful reassurances to the community & refer themselves to the IOPC as a matter of urgency.”
