The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said on Saturday that an Israeli air strike led to the death of an Israeli soldier detained by the Brigades in Gaza – and the wounding of a number of its detainees!
A spokesman for the Phalange said, in an audio message broadcast on Al-Arabi TV, that the air strike occurred after a failed attempt by an Israeli Special Force to free Al-Askari.
The spokesman did not provide details about the date or place of this soldier’s detention in Gaza. He said that the Phalange still has his body.
The Israeli Army declined to comment.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is the second largest faction in the Palestine Liberation Organization after Fatah.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced, on Saturday, that the martyrs of the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip have reached 21,672, since the start of the war on October 7th 2023, and the toll includes the death of 165 people, and the injury of 250 others, during the past 24 hours.
The Ministry added that 56,165 people were injured as a result of the Israeli bombing since October 7th, noting that only 1% of the injured were taken out of the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing.
Among the martyrs of the bombing were 312 Medical Personnel, according to the source, who also confirmed that 99 Health Personnel in the Gaza Strip are still in the custody of the Israeli Army.
The Ministry condemned the exposure of thousands of detainees in Israel to “physical and psychological torture, starvation, thirst, lack of sleep, and continuous interrogation in the extreme cold.”

“كتائب أبو علي مصطفى” تعلن مقتل عسكري إسرائيلي محتجز في غزة في غارة للاحتلال

قالت كتائب “أبو علي مصطفى”، الجناح العسكري للجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين، اليوم السبت، إن غارة جوية إسرائيلية أدت إلى مقتل عسكري إسرائيلي محتجز لدى الكتائب في غزة وإصابة عدد من محتجزيها.
وقال متحدث باسم الكتائب، في رسالة صوتية بثها “التلفزيون العربي”، إن الغارة الجوية وقعت بعد محاولة فاشلة من قوة إسرائيلية خاصة لتحرير العسكري.
ولم يقدم المتحدث تفاصيل عن موعد أو مكان احتجاز هذا العسكري في غزة. وقال إن الكتائب لا تزال تحتفظ بجثته.
وأحجم مكتب المتحدث باسم الجيش الإسرائيلي عن التعليق.
والجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين هي ثاني أكبر فصيل في منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية بعد “فتح”.
على صعيد آخر، أعلنت وزارة الصحة في غزة، السبت، أن شهداء العدوان الإسرائيلي في قطاع غزة بلغوا 21672، منذ بدء الحرب في 7 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول، وتشمل الحصيلة استشهاد 165 شخصاً، وإصابة 250 آخرين، خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية.
وأضافت الوزارة أنّ 56165 شخصاً جرحوا نتيجة القصف الإسرائيلي منذ 7 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، مشيرة إلى أن 1% فقط من المصابين أخرجوا من قطاع غزة عبر معبر رفح.
وبين شهداء القصف 312 فردا في طواقم طبية، بحسب المصدر الذي أكّد أيضا أن 99 كادراً صحياً في قطاع غزة لا يزالون قيد الاحتجاز لدى الجيش الإسرائيلي.
وندّدت الوزارة بتعرّض آلاف المعتقلين لدى إسرائيل “لتعذيب جسدي ونفسي وتجويع وعطش وعدم النوم والاستجواب المستمر في البرد الشديد”.
