A group of Westerners arrive at what is described as a ‘Buddhist’ temple in the Chinese text, situated in the Hailun area, (north of Suihua City), of Heilongjiang province.  This is the area historically known as Manchuria.  Although described as ‘Buddhist’, the monk in the picture appears to be wearing a Daoist hat.
