Warm Placed Safely Back in Garden!

Paignton: Slow Worm [Legless Lizard] Found in Mum’s House! (15.4.2025)

We think there is a colony in the back-garden as they are protected by Wildlife and Countryside Act (1981) – meaning it is “illegal” to disturb these animals. Slow Worms may not be killed or injured for any reason – and wild Slow Worms are not usually to be taken as pets. In the wild, Slow Worms can live up to 15-20 years – but in captivity a Slow Worm has reliably lived to 54-years. We think this is a male – as Slow Worms are waking-up and coming-out of hibernation – seeking to eat and breed. This Slow Warm was placed safely back in the grass!

Silversea - Animal Policy

Silversea Onboard Animal Policy – the “Elephant” in the Room – Plus Silversea Response! (21.3.2025)

I was enthralled to see a fine pair of elephants (good ivory – strong stature) featured on the Silversea online website – next to the description of the cruise-ship entertainment and various other distractions (including a breeding-pair of Polar Bears – I believe). May I take this opportunity to enquire as to what is the policy for animals being onboard? Although I am a little out-of-date, I am told the odd ship might possess a parrot to keep the children engaged – but am musing as to whether the new cruise-ships – being as spacious as they are – could also contain some type of Zoo?

DPRK: Progressing the Signage at the Korean Cental Zoo! (8.4.2023)

A few years later, the respected General Secretary – who visited the Korea Central Zoo again where reconstruction work was underway – had not forgetten what happened at that time which resulted in new information signboards being placed everywhere – so that visitors to the Korea Central Zoo would not have any inconvenience in looking around the zoo! He stated this action had to be taken to serve the people! Even today, the guide sign board of the Korea Central Zoo conveys the noble will of the respected General Secretary that his function is nothing but serving the interests of the people – working for the convenience and interests of the people!
