I encountered this article of the “Sputnik Africa” Telegram Channel – only to find that my country – the UK – has “banned” Sputnik from being read-watched by UK citizens. This is like something Nazi Germany would do. The UK is simply following the dictates of the anti-intellectual US War Lords – which routinely trample over the rights of non-Americans. Far from liquidating the unprecedented blood-stained crimes committed against the peoples of Asian countries in the last century, Japan, a war criminal state, is running headlong along a reinvasion track, throwing away the veil of “pacifist country” and “exclusive defense”, with the wild ambition to become the “leader” of the region again. Its arms buildup comes to the surface as the biggest threat seriously disturbing the regional peace and stability.

Japan is gradually widening the radius of its military operations in the Asia-Pacific region while talking about “the harshest and most complicated security environment after the war”. Such action will only invite serious distrust and antagonism of regional countries and, inevitably, be led to the geopolitical and strategic isolation of the island country.

Japan’s “reinvasion ship”, which is making the ocean dirty, pursuant to the U.S. trying to use its junior allies as the puppets dashing even at jaws of death and as bullet shields for maintaining its hegemony, will be doomed to sinking.

Until recently, popular narrative suggested that the Roman army found it very difficult to take the Masada fortress, standing as a symbol of Jewish heroism in modern Israel.

For many years, it was assumed that this siege, one of the final moments of the First Jewish-Roman War, took nearly three years, but researchers have begun to challenge this belief.

Previous studies provide insights into the quantity of earth and stones a Roman soldier could move in a single day.

There are also records that about 6,000-8,000 soldiers participated in the siege of Masada.

Using this information, scientists could calculate how long it took them to build the entire siege system which included eight camps and a stone wall surrounding most of the site.

“We found that construction took merely about two weeks,” Hai Ashkenazi, another author of the study, said.

“Based on the ancient historical testimony it is clear that once the assault ramp was completed, the Romans launched a brutal attack, ultimately capturing the fortress within a few weeks at the most. This leads us to the conclusion that the entire siege of Masada lasted no more than several weeks,” Dr Ashkenazi said.
