Accompanying them were Kim Myong Su, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, and Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.

The guards of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the cemetery.

The national anthems of the People’s Republic of China and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea were played.

A flower basket in the name of the Chinese foreign minister and his party was placed at the monument to the cemetery.

DPRK-China: International Passenger Train Ressumes & Arrives in Pyongyang! (13.3.2026)

Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Wang Yajun, some other Chinese diplomats, and an official in charge of external affairs at the DPRK railway ministry came to the platform of the station to greet the passengers arriving on the train.

Extending a warm welcome, Wang described the resumption of the rail link as “a good development the peoples from both countries have been looking forward to and a significant event in bilateral relations.”

China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. announced Tuesday that international passenger trains connecting China and the DPRK would begin operating in both directions on Thursday.

The services will connect Beijing and Dandong with Pyongyang, helping facilitate cross-border travel and boost economic, trade and cultural exchanges between the two countries, the Chinese railway operator said.

Wang Yajun, Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK, major Members of the Cultural Delegation of Liaoning Province, China led by Liu Huiyan, member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Head of the Publicity Department, Chinese Embassy Members and Chinese residents here watched the performance.

Present there on invitation were members of the Diplomatic Corps here.

Speeches were made before the performance.

Speakers said that the DPRK-China Friendship is further developing thanks to the deep comradely trust and friendly relations between the top leaders of the two countries, expressing the will to expand cultural exchange and cooperation in a many-sided way this significant year, the “Year of the DPRK-China Friendship”.
