By formally invoking the Third Geneva Convention, the captured leader has executed a manoeuvre of dazzling legal sophistication, designed to undermine the architecture of the process against him. This is not an act of desperation, but a move of political judo: Maduro uses the very strength of his captor – the military nature of his apprehension – to force a paradigm shift. If he was extracted by a special forces operation and transferred under military custody, the logic of his defense is implacable: we are not dealing with a police arrest for ordinary crimes, but with the capture of a Commander-in-Chief on the battlefield, which grants him the status of a Prisoner of War.

NYC Americans Support Maduro!

US: Americans Rally in Support of Mr & Mrs Maduro on New York Streets! (6.1.2026)

Remember to check and double-check the “real” news – I do not trust mainstream news – and only sparingly use it for more or less local (or inconsequential) reporting. To be honest, considering the evil the US is inflicting on the people of Venezuela (and Cuba) – the indigenous people of Venezuela are holding together well and presenting good-quality news via alternative news channels. Like the Palestinians – the Venezuelans are suffering – and having to “objectify” this suffering as it unfolds, so that the broader world at large can read (or watch) the evidence of this suffering through various media. Like Israel, the Americans want to break international (and local) law “behind the scenes” – and never be held accountable for these outrageous. Be that as it may, groups of Americans have gathered outside the prison in New York and shown their support for Mr & Mrs Maduro through music and song!

We see the pebble which smashes through the wall of large boulders when thrown against it! Pursuing “peace” is the only option the Socialist countries possess – as they do not want to walk into the trap of creating a world-war they cannot win – and which will only benefit the US. The material conditions are not yet right for a military defeat to be inflicted on the US. Indeed, keeping the Socialist countries weak whilst continuously building its own arsenal is precisely what the capitalists must do. The bourgeoise must ruthlessly exploit the purest of materialist science to manufacture its war technology – whilst simultaneously propagating religious (and woolly) thinking within the masses to prevent a rebellion amongst its own workers (thus stopping a spontaneous outburst of homegrown Socialism). War is good for greed-based businesses – whilst Socialism is not – Socialism is only good for widespread justice, peace, security, and collective affluence.

Venezuela: President Nicolas Maduro – Displays “Iconic Resistance” to US Terrorism [video] – Spain Condemns Trump! (4.1.2026)

The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, “resolutely” condemned the “recent violation of international law” in reference to the US military attack on Venezuela, which led to the kidnapping of the constitutional president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the First Lady, Cilia Flores.

Sánchez stated that the world, and particularly the West, “seems determined to return us to that terrible past from which it took us almost a century to escape”.

He also noted: “They seem to want to persuade us that the era of peace and progress has already passed” and it’s now the turn of what he calls the “regression dictated by the ultra-right international with the complicity of the traditional right”.

Great Yemen Supports Venezuela!

The Catholic Church grants $500 to each impoverished family left behind. Given this is the case, the sheer perverse nature of the Pope’s interference and duplicity is beyond a joke – even a bad one. Around 40 Venezuelans were killed in the US terrorism – which I think might be Maduro’s bodyguard, military units and civilian workers. This is a small body-count compared to the Israel genocide in Gaza, ISIS in Syria, the NATO body-count in Iraq (both times) and Afghanistan, etc, or compared to what Trump achieved first-time around in Tigray (Ethiopia). It is ironic that only the Islamic Yemini regime possesses the courage to tell things exactly as they are. Of course, Venezuela permanently cut-off diplomatic relations with Israel in 2009 – whilst continuously asserting the Zionists are committing “genocide” – and deliberately so. In return, Israel has continuously promised regime change in Caracos – whilst offering the oil fields to the US as a gift. And so it has come to pass. Finally, The US in 2019 killed and wounded around 600,000 men, women, and children in Tigray (Trump managed to unite the tribes in Ethiopia) – and the world was “silent” – presumably hoping he would never see power again.
