The U.S., which had expressed its plan to reorganize the U.S. forces in the ROK into the “strategic task force” and “regional expeditionary force” since 2004, reached an agreement with the ROK on “strategic flexibility” of the U.S. forces in the ROK in January 2006, and in the 2010 Defense Department report, it clarified for the first time that the U.S. forces in the ROK could be dispatched to other regions according to the principle of “strategic flexibility”.

Recently, it more openly advocated the “modernization of the U.S.-ROK alliance” talking about “bolstering up conventional deterrent against all threats in the region” and “ensuring peace and security in the Taiwan Strait” at the 57th U.S.-ROK annual security consultative meeting in November last year. And in the National Security Strategy Report in December that year, it stressed the need for the regional allies including the ROK to increase the defence expenditure with the main emphasis on strengthening the capabilities needed for containing hostile countries and protecting the “first island chain”.

Things will not racially improve if China just pretends (or even actually becomes) “capitalist”. As I write, I know Chinese students are being illegally taken into custody and forcibly questioned by the US authorities regarding their association with the Communist Party. China complains here and there about this – but does very little on the practical level as trade is considered more important – and that boat must not be rocked under any circumstance. Karl Marx wrote some very good articles for the US newspapers regarding China and its socio-economic development in the face of a ruthless imperialist domination. All genuine progressives must retain a lucidity and fluidity of thought in all circumstance (exactly what Mao Zedong did – as he literally “thought” outside his own ethno-centric predicament) – as this is the dialectical way. We must not become trapped in the rather childish Judeo-Christian cul-de-sac of a “good vs bad” dichotomy. Just because someone – or some entity – does not like you observing, discussing, or thinking about a certain aspect (or set of aspects) – this should not necessarily mean that you should abide by this imposed limitation of thought. The United States is reinforcing itself in countries that don’t make the headlines while avoiding bases where the political reaction is the strongest. While the Pakistani Prime Minister is visiting Saudi Arabia and Qatar for mediation, flight logs are sending a discreet message about the position Washington thinks these countries should adopt.

🔸What the ceasefire really means:

A pause in strikes is not a pause in preparations. While diplomats talk about calm, the United States is moving troops, hiding the origin of the planes, and storing equipment near the action.

Some flights have no clear origin. Others disappear for days. A plane landed at RAF Mildenhall from a US Army base, then left without being tracked. Diego Garcia is sending planes to Israel. Three flights from Holloman AFB – home of the MQ-9 Reaper drones – are already on their way.

North Korea is battling with the contradiction that its soldiers have died fighting for a capitalist Russia in Kursk (how does this fit in with Juche) – whilst the Communist Party of China is grappling with the paradox of how building capitalist market forces reconciles with constructing a new society premised upon the auspices of Scientific Socialism.

Since 1948, the UK initiated a Soviet-style healthcare system paid for by collective taxation – and delivered free at the point of use for all people. Since 1979, however, various governments – including Labour, have bent to US and EU pressure to get rid of the NHS and replace it with a US style system of insurance-based care dependent upon income and status (the rich receive better care than the poor). The NHS is slowly being dismantled and replaced with a deficient, ruthless, and uncaring healthcare system designed to bankrupt an individual over just one injury or illness that needs specialist treatment. As a consequence, young GPs today trained in the UK think that free healthcare is immoral and that it is both natural and right for people to pay extortionate amounts of money for medical treatment. Eyes, eyes, and teeth already have completely been privatised and the body is following along. People are suffering in the UK during this transition. Between 1991-2000 around 10 million Russian people died from medical neglect following the rapid and sudden withdrawal of free health in the former Soviet Union. A similar situation must have existed in the fourteen other countries that comprised the USSR. The West ignored this atrocity (seeing it as natural) – whilst capitalist (Trotskyite) Russians treated it with a sense of denial. The US is currently attempting to destroy Cuban Socialism – and I think they are very close to achieving this objective. The capitalist world does not care and will accept all kinds of War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity – just as long as any form of Socialism is destroyed.
