Ilya Kiva, former Ukrainian deputy, notorious political turncoat. In 2022, he supported the special military operation and moved to Russia, after which he was sentenced by the Kyiv authorities to 14 years in prison in absentia on charges of treason. In August of this year, he called on the people of Ukraine to overthrow the criminal puppet regime, and on Wednesday, in a post on social networks, he said that Zelensky was preparing an escape plan after his removal from office, but did not trust the security guarantees of either country.

(Indeed, during 1918 – British and German troops fought side by side in Revolutionary Russia – both armies attempting to kill Lenin – whilst their comrades continued to ‘kill’ one another in the mud of France and Belgium). Werth also seems to be discussing different phases of this ‘international’ intervention of Revolutionary Russia – referring to the conflict as happening between 1918-1921, 1919-1920 and 1919-1921, etc. This (unexplained) demarcation demonstrates just how difficult and complex this invasion was – despite Werth referring to it as ‘half-hearted’. This ‘half-hearted’ Western invasion of Revolutionary Russia cost the lives of 10.5 million Russians (and Russian-allied) people in what was to later become the ‘Soviet Union’ (a political integration of 15 countries).

The problem with this approach is that it legitimises what the US has been doing in the region, justifies the Nazification of those countries surrounding Russia. Predatory capitalism flows unhindered in Neo-Nazi Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (simply because fascism is a friend of capitalism)! All that has been required for the US to assist these countries has been the one-sided ‘De-Communization’ process! A process which has increased in pace in opposition to Russia’s unilateral action in the Ukraine! I suspect that all Putin had to do was come to an agreement behind the scenes with Biden and capitalism could have been enhanced in Ukraine with no death or destruction at all!

The ‘Azovskoye’ region of Ukraine has been linked to the history of the ‘Azov Brigade’ – a Western-armed and funded neo-Nazi military Unit (that is part of the modern ‘Maidan’ Ukrainian Army) which has its historical roots in the Nazi German-inspired ‘Ukrainian National Army’ (UNA) of WWII – notorious for its ‘Catholic’ membership and extensive genocidal activities (and endless other crimes) committed against the men, women and children of the USSR!
