Philip Neame was born in Faversham in 1888

Neame survived and was decorated with the Victoria Cross, the highest accolade for valour in war.

He continued his career in the army while also pursuing an interest in rifle shooting, and competed in the 1924 Olympics with great success.

Neame went on to train the Tibetan army, before getting called up for World War Two.

He fought, and was captured, in North Africa, then was a prisoner of war in Italy before escaping back to Britain.

He died in 1978 and is buried in the village of Selling in Kent.

His son, with the same name, fought in the Falklands War in 1982.

In his home town of Faversham a plaque on the pavement near the guildhall commemorates Neame’s place in history.

US: Trump Suggests Expelling Spain from NATO! (10.10.2025)

“They have no excuse not to do this,” Trump told reporters at the White House during a meeting with visiting Finnish President Alexander Stubb. “Maybe you should throw them out of NATO frankly.”

“You people are gonna have to start speaking to Spain,” Trump said. “You have to call them and find why are they a laggard.”

Under pressure from Trump, NATO members in June agreed to raise their military spending to 5 percent of gross domestic product by 2035.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez rejected the target, calling it “incompatible with our welfare state and our world vision.”

The British media tends to under-report this reality whilst following US dictates. This being the case, the UK should distance itself from the US altogether, expel the Eastern Europeans and embark upon a rapid re-Socialisation of the British State. All members of the far-right should be arrested, tried and sent to remote Scottish islands to serve-out their sentences.

This video screenshot shows former U.S. President Donald Trump being helped off the stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania of the United States after what sounded like gunshots rang out through the crowd, July 13, 2024. Video footage showed that Trump was making a speech when popping sounds rang out over the rally. Screams could be heard in the crowd, and Trump was swiftly escorted off the stage by Secret Service agents. Blood could be seen on the side of his head and his ear. He was quickly escorted into a vehicle, and his motorcade has left the venue. Trump is currently safe and is expected to survive, NBC News reported, quoting senior law enforcement officials.
