Saying that the combat capability and role of snipers are more highly valued in the composition of our armed forces, Kim Jong Un noted that it is an essential requirement for implementing the Party’s line of building a powerful army and modernizing it to bring about a rapid and qualitative change in enhancing the combat capability of snipers in conformity with the developing aspects and trend of modern warfare.

He said that it is very important to frequently organize drills under the simulated conditions of an actual war and shooting contests which will give rise to the spirit of emulation among the units in order to train all the snipers of the KPA units at all levels into crack shots capable of dealing a fatal blow to the enemy in any weather and seasonal conditions and day and night.

It could well be the case that “Croydon” was mistakenly presented as “Kenley” on the Luftwaffe maps – not that it mattered as both were legitimate “military” targets – and that the map included the old boundary markers that had subsequently shifted – with the land now defining the active aerodrome being redefined into other areas. What was once aerodrome land running across the old periphery – was now Council-owned land comprising of civilian houses and civic roads run through – and around it. Total Luftwaffe strength in August 1940 was between 2000-2,200 fighter, fighter-bomber, and bomber aeroplanes – often flying around 1000 sorties per day against the UK Mainland. Luftwaffe losses (for August 15th 1940) amounted to 76 aircraft across all engagements – while the RAF lost just 34. With the specific attack upon Croydon – 14 Bf 110s and 8 Bf 109s Luftwaffe aeroplanes were involved (some sources suggest the number was between 20-30 – the record is unclear) – these are the Luftwaffe crews that supposedly bombed the civilian population. It is said that the Nazi German losses amounted to 25% across the board – so over Croydon this would have amounted to around 6 aircraft – a small number compared to Luftwaffe losses across the region.

Neame survived and was decorated with the Victoria Cross, the highest accolade for valour in war.

He continued his career in the army while also pursuing an interest in rifle shooting, and competed in the 1924 Olympics with great success.

Neame went on to train the Tibetan army, before getting called up for World War Two.

He fought, and was captured, in North Africa, then was a prisoner of war in Italy before escaping back to Britain.

He died in 1978 and is buried in the village of Selling in Kent.

His son, with the same name, fought in the Falklands War in 1982.

In his home town of Faversham a plaque on the pavement near the guildhall commemorates Neame’s place in history.

“They have no excuse not to do this,” Trump told reporters at the White House during a meeting with visiting Finnish President Alexander Stubb. “Maybe you should throw them out of NATO frankly.”

“You people are gonna have to start speaking to Spain,” Trump said. “You have to call them and find why are they a laggard.”

Under pressure from Trump, NATO members in June agreed to raise their military spending to 5 percent of gross domestic product by 2035.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez rejected the target, calling it “incompatible with our welfare state and our world vision.”

According to the memorandum, the U.S. plan for the “Golden Dome” missile defense system setting it as a goal to closely defend the Continent of North America from the ballistic missile, cruise missile and supersonic missile attack by its strategic enemy states is a typical product of “America first”, the height of self-righteousness, arrogance, high-handed and arbitrary practice, and is an outer space nuclear war scenario supporting the U.S. strategy for uni-polar domination with the preemptive establishment of the outer space-based military substructure, not a “defensive measure” to cope with the “threat” from someone.

The hypersonic missile system will reliably contain any enemies in the Pacific region that can affect the security of our state.

We have acquired a technical force which is by no means easy to achieve.

This is a remarkable achievement and a special event in strengthening the self-defensive capabilities, which we should be proud of.

I express thanks to all the researchers and technicians and the workers of munitions industry enterprise, who contributed to the successful development of the new-type strategic weapon system.
