Given that the PLA had defeated the US in Korea – surely China could have defended its ancient ally of Khmer without too much difficulty? The US (and the West) are the mass killers – and it is their habitual crimes that they like to protect upon their ideological enemies. Ironically, since betraying Ho Chi Minh’s vision of a “New Vietnam” – that country has struggled – particularly after the fall of the USSR in 1991, being as it is estranged from China. Only very recently has Vietnam approached China for a far more profound and deep economic relationship. Cambodia is merely left to rot – with its pointless monarchy and capitalist system. Indeed, whereas Polpot declared all women and gorls equal to men – Cambodia is today the world centre for filming paedophiia and trafficking children. Of course, there are no Hollywood films about this, and no catchy soundtracks – as that would be telling the truth and not peddling mindless entertainment.
