China: Doctor Removes Rare Tumour in 11-Hour Surgery! (5.11.2025)

Professor Zhao Gaofeng, director of thoracic surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, led the procedure on a 20-centimeter mediastinal tumour that had been pressing against the patient’s heart, lungs, and major blood vessels.

Zhao said the tumour had an “extremely abnormal blood supply” from three unusual arteries. “We have never seen anything like this,” he added.

“It was the most difficult operation I’ve ever performed in terms of blood loss – possibly the most challenging of its kind.”

The 50-year-old patient, surnamed Shi, had previously undergone surgery twice elsewhere, but doctors abandoned both operations because of the high risk of bleeding.

Shi recovered smoothly and has since been discharged from the hospital.

Duenas views the expo as an effective platform for initial contact with Chinese institutions, which has yielded over 30 cooperation projects for the company, some of which originated during previous expos.

“China is a strategic ally in the field of pharmaceutical cooperation, offering a framework for exchange with entities that share common objectives,” he said.

The executive also noted that participation in the expo is a key element in the future projection of relations between Cuba and China, within the framework of the China-Cuba community with a shared future and the Belt and Road Initiative.

Despite the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, at least 236 Palestinians had been killed and 600 wounded by Israeli fire, Gaza health authorities said Sunday. It said the total death toll from Israeli strikes since Oct. 7, 2023, had reached 68,865.

The Hamas-run media office on Monday accused Israel of committing 194 violations of the ceasefire, adding that the aid delivered into Gaza since Oct. 10 does not exceed 24 percent of the agreed-upon amount due to Israel’s obstruction.

Also on Monday, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem condemned Israel’s continued demolition of homes and residential areas in Gaza, saying the operations “constitute a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.”

He called on mediators to pressure Israel to halt the “ongoing violations,” including daily killings, the continued blockade, restrictions on aid, and the closure of the Rafah border crossing.

After 1948 – this ethnic Korean movement was assisted by Socialist China. When the US caused the war of 1950-1953 – the USSR provided the Red Airforce to guard the skies over North Korea and Soviet Technicians to aid the mechanical development of the North Korean military. Meanwhile, Socialist China organised millions of “Chinese People Volunteers” (CPV) who comprised the Land Forces of the “Internationalist” effort to free North (and South) Korea from US domination. The fact that the CPV had very little modern or advanced military equipment – and yet still achieved significant victories – is remarkable. Through sheer will-power the CPV (together with the North Korean Forces) inflicted endless defeats and reversals upon the US (and UN) Forces.

The idea is to shame the UK Labour government into breaking its financial and military support for Israel and unbanning Palestine Action! Of course, the mainstream UK government is ignoring this protest and we have to rely on foreign news broadcasters to find what is going on just down the streets we live in!
