Li Yan speaks in heavily accented English – but it is clear that she thinks she is under attack by men impersonating Police Officers. In her mind she is defending herself with a knife. Although she has paid far more in tax to the US Government than she owed in rent – the Police Officers shot her dead without a second thought. Being rich and successful will only grant you a partial defence from this State-sponsored murder! Li Yan was an expert in the development of medicine.
