The flight, MU 9191, carrying about 130 passengers, soared into sky from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and will arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport about two hours and 25 minutes later.

The plane is registered as B-919A, with the logo of “THE WORLD’S FIRST C919” on the front part of the fuselage. The letter B represents the aircraft’s Chinese nationality, and “A” means the first of its kind.

The C919 has 164 seats, with eight in business class and 156 in economy class.

Officially launched in 2009, the C919 program has undergone an extensive testing. Its maiden flight lasted approximately 1 hour and 19 minutes on May 5, 2017, showcasing its perfect capabilities.

China: Socialist Science to 3D Print Structures on Moon! (24.4.2023)

After Chang’e 6, the Chang’e 7 robotic probe will be sent to land on the moon’s South Pole to perform “high-precision investigations”, Wu said.

“The Chang’e 7 mission is meant to look for traces of water on the South Pole, investigate the environment and weather there, and survey the landform. The probe will carry a ‘flyby craft’ tasked with flying into pits on the lunar surface to look for ice,” the scientist said.

“Chang’e 7 will also be tasked with detecting the natural resources beneath the lunar South Pole’s surface. Mission planners are trying to assess if we can use the probe to dig into the surface and study underground structures and their composition,” he said.

In the long run, scientists will use components of the three upcoming missions — the orbiters, landers, rovers and sensors — to form the prototype of a robotic scientific outpost, which will act as a platform for international collaboration on lunar exploration, he added.

Yanji in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture Witnesses Spark of Coffee Trend! (6.4.2023)

In 2022, Li Xiangying and her husband opened a cafe with characteristics of the Korean ethnic group in her hometown Yanji. Combining local specialty apple pears and folk customs of the Korean ethnic group with coffee, they promote native folk culture to tourists through coffee while enriching the coffee culture in Yanji. The northeastern border city of Yanji in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture has witnessed a spark of coffee trend as over 540 coffee shops are registered in the 680,000 dwellers city in recent years. According to the data from Meituan Waimai, a major food delivery platform in China, Yanji ranked first in coffee consumption among counties (including county-level cities) in China from January to February this year. Lisbon Maru (1942): In Praise of the Chinese Fishermen of Dongji! The People of Britain Thank You! (29.8.2022)

The remaining 936 British POWs were transported to Japan on the ‘Shinsei Maru’. By the time this ship reached the port of Moji in Kyushu – a further five British POWs had died. Of the original number of 1,816 British POWs that had boarded the ‘Lisbon Maru’ on September 27th, 1942, by the time they eventually arrived in Japan (around October 8th, 1942), only 931 British POWs remained! (What happened to the five seriously wounded British POWs left in Shanghai I do not know). This entire episode means that through a combination of a US ‘War Crime’ and continued Imperial Japanese ‘War Crimes’, in a matter of just eleven days in 1942, these two countries conspired to murder 885 British POWs! The number would have been much higher if not for the selfless actions of the Chinese fishermen (and their families) who came from Dongji Island!
