When I was writing it, I was remembering how hard it was to be a 16-year-old in high school. I always wanted to be an artist, so I was this loner kid who just got drunk all the time. I only had one real friend. There was a girl I really liked, and she ended up taking really sleazy photographs with her boyfriend, and that really crushed me, I was just swimming in this pit of despair, jealousy and alcoholism. Protests Against NATO Held Across Sweden! (23.4.2023)

Sweden dropped its decades-long policies of military non-alignment and applied to join NATO last May, when a poll showed that opinion had shifted to a majority of Swedes, about 53 percent, being pro-NATO. And a poll conducted by Statistics Sweden last November showed that 67.8 percent Swedes were quite or very positive about NATO.

However, many Swedes are still concerned about the negative consequences of their country being a member of the military alliance. Partly because Russia had made it clear that “there can be no more talk of any nuclear-free status for the Baltics” should Sweden, and Finland, join NATO.

On March, 22, the Swedish parliament, Riksdagen, voted in favour of the country to join NATO, but so far, NATO members Hungary and Türkiye have yet to give a green light to Sweden’s accession.

Holm said that although Sweden will likely become a NATO member, the campaign against Sweden being a member will not stop.

“We will continue to fight against it and when Sweden becomes a (NATO) member state, we will strive for secession,” Holm said.

The Beatles: What John Lennon Never Quite Managed to ‘Imagine’! (17.4.2023)

The difference is that whereas Marx and Engels stood by the message inherent within their Revolutionary work – The Beatles steadfastly ‘stood apart’ from the Revolutionary message that is at the heart of their music! The capitalist system brought them off – but that is the nature of the music business and the entire point of all its machinations! The music industry generates very good capitalists but generally very poor Revolutionaries! It is as if the music itself, that is the collaborative effort, transcended the individuality of the four men who comprised The Beatles – and the general (limiting) attitudes of EMI! The interesting point is that The Beatles music remains dialectically forceful despite Paul McCartney’s Knighthood and all the other nonsense the Bourgeois State has draped around the historical image of The Beatles! Whether The Beatles like it or not, the music they produced in search of profit possesses a quality that ‘pierces’ through the very same ‘search for profit’! The music is itself a form of Revolutionary ‘force’ that John Lennon never quite managed to comprehend. Imagine that!

Laos Buddhist-Socialist Republic: President Wishes Happy Buddhist New Year (2566)! (13.4.2023)

The New Buddhist Year of 2566 is about to start – it is another year in which we still have to face obstacles and challenges! Therefore, I would like to call on the entire Communist Party, the State, the Armed Forces and all the People of Laos to preserve and enhance the good (Buddhist) heritage of our nation, to enhance the unity that is a already strong bond, to focus all our strength through encouragement and intelligence in the mission of protecting and developing our nation, and to push the implementation of the two National Agendas (Buddhist and Socialist) into a more formal and integrated order as a means of self-strengthening – in this way we can create a strong and deep transformation in all fields of work in the coming year!

Yellow Submarine: How Heinz Edelmann ‘Disinformed’ About the ‘Blue Meanies’! (11.4.2023)

As Heinz Edelmann had no direct input with the storyline, an interesting question is why he was permitted to state the false opinion (also included on the Blu-Ray but obviously recorded sometime ago) that the film ‘Yellow Submarine’ was ‘anti-Communist’ (it is not) – or that the ‘Blue Meanies’ were supposed to be the ‘Red Meanies’? He makes one further (ludicrous) claim – namely that there is ‘no difference’ between Nazi Germany and the USSR – an opinion straight out of the CIA handbook that defines and guides US anti-intellectualism! I suspect that if The Beatles had become aware of Heinz Edelmann’s ridiculous opinions at the time, they would have ‘withdrawn’ from the film and the project would have crashed and burned. If the casual reader peruses the internet today – Heinz Edelmann’s false opinion is strewn across endless websites – simply because that is what the agency of US anti-intellectualism wants the world to think! Thank goodness the music of The Beatles is stronger than these attempts at disinformation!

Laos Buddhist-Socialist Republic: Heads of the Foreign Relations Committees of the Central Lao-Cuba Communist Parties Meet Remotely! (11.4.2023)

The people of Laos also expressed recognition of the great achievements of the Cuban people under the resolute leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba over the past 60 years – especially those significant to the development of socio-economic construction! This is the continuation of the progressive results of the Revolution in the face of the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade which the Americans have inflicted over the past six decades!

Appreciating the long-standing unity, friendship and cooperation between the two Communist Parties – the two Socialist States and the ordinary people of the two Lao-Cuban nations – as well as the two Foreign Relations Committees of the Central Party which have been enhanced! Let our two Socialist peoples become ever stronger day-by-day, and contribute significantly to the Revolutionary mission in the two countries of Laos and Cuba! Together, we can complete this mission of peace, friendship and cooperation for regional and international development!
