Laos Buddhist-Socialist Republic: High-Ranking Brunei Delegation lays wreath at Unknown Soldier Memorial! (4.10.2023)

His Highness Somdek Suntan Haji Hassanan Bongei of Brunei Darussalam, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Selimxay Kormasit, visited the Laos People’s Democratic Republic (PDR) from October 2nd-4th, 2023. During their visit, they laid a wreath at the Niranam Warrior (Red Star) Monument on the morning of October 3rd in Vientiane, the capital city. The act was a tribute to the Laotian Marxist-Leninist Martyrs, remembering their sacrifices in establishing the Laotian People’s Democratic Republic on December 2nd, 1975.

Cuba: Laotian Buddhist-Socialist Republic Delegation in State Visit! (17.9.2023)

On the occasion of the meeting with the leaders of the Republic of Cuba, Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith reaffirmed the consistent policy of the Communist Party and the Government of Laos towards the Communist Party and the Government of Cuba in the struggle in the regional and international arena, including the struggle to end the blockade of Cuba that has lasted for more than 60 years and expressed the success and victory that the Communist Party, the Government and the People of Cuba have achieved in protecting the results of the Revolution and the development of the country – as well as congratulating Cuba for hosting the summit of the Group of 77 countries and China at this time – which shows the international confidence and recognition of Cuba’s role in the international arena.

On this occasion, Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith welcomed and highly appreciated the visit and work in Laos PDR of Comrade Liu Chien Shao (along with his delegation) – who sent a warm message to Xi Jinping, General Secretary, President of China – as well as appreciated the bilateral cooperation between Laos and China in the past. This includes the coordination of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Communist Party of China – which has contributed significantly to enhancing the friendship and strategic partnership. This comprehensive and stable relationship has lasted for a long time according to the four- directions between the two parties – the two States and the people of the two ‘Socialist’ nations, as well as creating a Laos-Chinese destiny partnership with high standards, high quality and a higher level of cooperation.

An ongoing exchange of experts will create a data-base of legal understanding amongst the masses upon how the legal sector is organized and how it works and functions! This will involve lessons on organization and arranging seminars – as well as how to facilitate practical training in the classroom (and other similar activities).
