This recruitment drive is part of an action plan the government launched in 2018 to enhance the quality of rural education by employing retired educators to teach in rural areas.

According to the statement, the drive will be aimed mainly at retired principals, teaching research staff and experienced teachers aged up to 65.

Teaching professionals recruited under the plan will work at county, town and village schools located in places that had been lifted out of poverty, underdeveloped ethnic counties, border regions and other areas that lack sufficient education resources.

If unions still had power, there would be well-paid jobs for life. If the Local Council still possessed a legal requirement to maintain Council Houses and home every vulnerable person in need – there would be no homelessness. If the Benefits Systems still reflected the true wealth of this country, and fairly redistributed funds, there would be no poverty. If the government subsidised and controlled food pricing, there would be no starvation. If the government controlled the schools, British children would still receive a world class education and be fed properly during school-time. Furthermore, our graduates would not leave University with £30-40,000 worth of debt just as their adult lives are beginning. If the NHS was properly funded, staffed, and stocked, everyone could receive immediate world class treatment – free at the point of use.

This oppressive, medieval ideology continues to impose its repressive policies, ignoring any humanitarian or legal considerations. The systematic targeting of the people of the proud Syrian coast, who have suffered and continue to suffer from the scourge of war and tyranny, is a flagrant violation of all international values and norms and represents a crime added to the long record of crimes committed by these killers. The Palestinian Communist Party calls on the international community and human rights organizations to take urgent action to hold those responsible for this crime accountable. It calls on the Syrian people and all communist and progressive forces to join forces to overthrow this fascist regime and strive to build a homeland of justice, freedom, and dignity, free from the dominance of the forces of darkness, tyranny, and colonialism.

This is when I realised the left is hideously compromised across the Western world. On one such March, we arrived in a large group (whilst never being fully accepted into it) carrying our Red Flag flying at Trafalgar Square (Central London) – and met a young woman wearing a striking headscarf (there was something about his woman that attracted us – usually we do not engage random approaches). This lady treated us as Comrades – and gave us a leaflet about the injustices suffered by the (Maoist) Workers’ Institute by the Tory government! Something good came out of all of this – but not what we wanted or intended.

Werth’s unique access allowed him an unprecedented look at this deadly event. The article details the participating nations’ forces, backed by the Catholic Church and the Trotskyite Movement, in the invasion of the USSR from 1941-1945. It emphasizes the devastating costs of the battle, with around 41 million Soviet casualties including 27 million deaths. Furthermore, during the peak of the Battle of Stalingrad, Nazi Germans relentlessly launched approximately 40 attacks per day.
