World Insights: Fentanyl – Solely A Homegrown US problem – So Why Blame China? (19.7.2023)

Fentanyl and its derivatives sufentanil, alfentanil and remifentanil are all synthetic phenypiperidine drugs, which are synthetic opioid receptor agonists.

A painkiller for countless patients, fentanyl has many side effects. The drug has gradually become a menace to social security across the United States, a society long plagued by opioid addiction and abuse.

Statistics by the Council on Foreign Relations in April indicated that opioids, primarily fentanyl, are the leading cause of U.S. overdose deaths, which have roughly quadrupled over the last ten years for which data is fully available. In 2021, the death toll surged to 80,411, more than 10 times the number of U.S. military service members killed in the post-9/11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

There have been three waves of opioid abuse in U.S. society, with fentanyl being the “main character” of the third wave.

Gun Violence – COVID-19 Deaths Ignored as Self-Interest Rules US: The Hill! (25.4.2023)

The article quoted Hubert Humphrey, an American pharmacist and politician who served as the 38th vice president of the United States from 1965 to 1969, as saying that “the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children, those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly, those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy, and the handicapped.”

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, firearms take the lives of 5.6 out of every 100,000 American children between ages 3 and 18. “No other developed nation is even close,” said the report.

“Our record on COVID response is similarly dismal. Ranked first among 177 nations in our capacity to respond to a pandemic in November 2019, on the eve of the pandemic, the United States ranks last among wealthy nations and close to last among all nations in our infection and fatality rates,” it added.

China: Medical Experts Stress the Use of “Science” in Seeking COVID-19 Origins! (4.4.2023)

“The data have neither been removed nor deleted since they were added. In accordance with the usual practice of publication, and by agreement with the journal and GISAID, the data are released simultaneously with formal publication, but the link to access the data for journal review has always existed,” the scientists wrote.

However, they stressed that all these data only showed that the market acted as “an early amplifier during the pandemic due to the high number of consumers every day, resulting in many of the initially identified infection clusters”.

“The origin of the virus involving animal-to-human transmission cannot be determined based on current data,” they wrote.

The researchers said that hypotheses and conclusions presented in the report released by the WHO in March 2021 are both scientific and objective.

They added that tracing the origins of the virus is a scientific issue that requires scientific evidence and logical inference. Determining the origins of the novel coronavirus may still be a long way off.

Falun Gong Cult

Falun Gong Cult: Dial 0800 ‘DISTANCE’! 

In an attempt to inject some humour into Falun Gong Cult activities (which, let’s face it, often look more like Nazi-Occupied parts of Europe during the early 1940s – rather than populations of the ‘joyfully liberated’) – this new generation of channelers are trained to open-up proceedings with a witty exchange (or ‘repartee’) to warm-up the crowd – one which often unfolds something like this:  

Question: ‘Li Hongzhi – are you there?’ 

Answer: ‘Yes!’ 

Follow-up Question: ‘Are you alive?’ 

Follow-up Answer – and Delivery of Punchline: ‘Yes – are you?’ 

Of course, experiments in ‘humour’ of this nature could prove highly successful – or be the equivalent of pouring arsenic in the soup as a means to improve its flavour! Will it work? Will it fail? Does it matter? With the US government bankrolling Li Hongzhi’s every move (or ‘non-movement’ in this case) how can it fail? Li Hongzhi does not have to ‘prove’ anything – he merely needs to appear to always be there (never ageing) – and like a lighthouse perched on a lonely rock somewhere – always broadcasting the same ‘bright-light’ of his anti-China message!
