“It is deeply regretted that due to the use of the veto this council has once again failed to uphold its responsibility to maintain international peace and security,” Malta’s Ambassador Vanessa Frazier said after voting.

“It represented the bare minimum of what is needed to begin to address the desperate situation on the ground,” she added.

The envoy urged the Security Council to unequivocally request an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza. “Israel should also let go of its obsession with the use of force and stop violations against other countries, including Lebanon, Syria, and Iran,” he said.

Moreover, Fu appealed for increased humanitarian assistance in Gaza and urged Israel to fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure the orderly distribution of supplies throughout Gaza.

In his remarks, Fu also stressed the two-state solution must be revitalized, which is the only viable way out for the Palestinian question and requires the guarantee of the international community more than ever.

Of course, the UK and other satellite countries of the US refuse to recognise the new Yemeni State – and have had the RAF (which saved the UK from Nazi German invasion during WWII) bomb the Yemeni people! I consider this a UK War Crime at exactly the same time that the UK government is arming Israel and Neo-Nazi Ukraine, not to mention granting Asylum to millions of far-right Ukrainians simply on the grounds they hold anti-Russian viewpoints! What a magnificent site it is to see the Yemeni people marching in defiance of UK and US fascism – whilst protecting their own waters from hostile Zionist shipping!

In this context, while the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Red Star declares its solidarity with the people of Palestine and Lebanon and condemns the evil imperialist-Zionist nexus and all its defenders, it also registers its firm opposition to the Modi government’s continued export of defence equipment to Israel as part of the anti-Islamic ideological alliance fostered between Zionism and Hindutva fascism, whose foreign policy, as a junior strategic partner of US imperialism, is in line with the latter’s dictates.
