As a result, partial statistics were given-out which were ‘correct’ from a particular context. As no one had access to the total number except a trusted few – the onus was all about a rapid reconstruction of the Soviet infrastructure (including the building of houses and the caring for the millions of people missing limbs and who had been made disabled etc), and a military preparation for an unprovoked attack from the US and their allies! All this was going on whilst the Soviet Space Programme was developing the technology which would soon shock the world – all under the guidance of the ‘elected’ General Secretary – Joseph Stalin – the last great leader the USSR would have!

The Science of Epigenetics Verses the Pseudo-Science of Epigenetics! (4.3.2018)

This is not an attack on religion or a denial that belief systems are useful for human existence. On the contrary, what follows is a short and concise explanation of a very complex biological process which strives to identify the subject of epigenetics as a material or ‘hard’ science, and epigenetics as a belief system. When epigenetics is interpreted as a belief system (and consequently serves the function of a religion) it still presents its ideas in the language of science, when the underlying ideology is one of theology. The battle occurs because religious epigenetics insists upon being interpreted as a ‘science’. This insistence by a religious movement to be seen as a science attracts the descriptive label ‘pseudo-science’, which we use here, but with no intended disrespect. Although we advocate a continuous search for good knowledge and self-understanding, everyone has the right to decide for themselves and make their own minds up. As practitioners of Chinese Buddhism, we confirm that meditation practise has a positive affect upon the health of the mind and body, but we do not assert that the mind ‘interferes’ with natural biological processes. Instead, it seems clear to us that a proper scientific understanding of biological processes enables the mind to ‘assist’ by making good and informed choices in life that aid the natural biological processes unfold in a positive manner. This is more a matter of not ‘getting in the way’ of naturally unfolding processes, rather than entertaining the mistaken notion that the mind can interfere in these natural processes. Over-Coming Systemic Disempowerment

The problem with gesture politics and single issue protests is that the Bourgeois State simply ‘meets’ and ‘contains’ each flare-up, keeping one disaffected group from another (with the false propaganda that each special interest group has nothing in common with one another). This is the working class disunited by the Bourgeois System – and kept disempowered in that state. This is the opposite process to unionism. Instead of protesting this issue or that issue from a one dimensional perspective, all protests should be presented for what they are – a concerted bourgeois attack upon the working class! Bourgeois attacks on the homeless, Muslims, Jews, poor, unemployed, homosexual, Black, White, Asian, animals, housing, healthcare, work, benefits, sexuality, gender, defence, science, technology, sport, art, travel and general culture, are all important issues in their own right, of course they are, but they also indicate different aspects of attacking the samething – namely the working class! We should ‘unite’ around our differences to become stronger in the face of bourgeois attack. In this way, if we respond ‘together’ as an organic whole, the bourgeois class would have to tread very carefully as it faces the possibility of losing all its dominance over us – which should serve as the premise for all united working class protest. We must ‘take’ our rights because the bourgeoisie will never give them freely away.
