One day in October 2014, he visited the completed baby home and the orphanage and said with satisfaction that there would be no such wonderful home for children in the world as them.

Saying that all the elements of the baby home and the orphanage are suitable for living environment and educational places, he gave precious instructions on enhancing the responsibility and role of the nursery school and kindergarten teachers, stressing that it is more important to bring up the children well than to build such establishments.

The song “We Are the Happiest in the World” is always heard at the baby home and orphanage built thanks to the paternal loving care of the General Secretary who spares nothing for the children. (End)

“It’s clear that no one is born supporting Taiwan independence, it is an ideology deliberately cultivated,” Wu said, adding that while this ideology is nurtured by certain politicians for their own purposes, it is not unchangeable.

Wu noted that in recent years, he has encouraged several students to visit the mainland and was surprised by the changes in their perspectives.

“Before their visits, these students referred to the other side of the Taiwan Strait as ‘China.’ However, upon returning, they started using the term ‘the mainland’ and inquired about more exchange projects to the mainland,” he said. “So, I am not pessimistic about the future. In fact, I am hopeful.”

Since the Democratic Progressive Party authorities are unlikely to change their education policies, efforts from the grassroots are imperative to establish a historical perspective based on Chinese identity and to restore education of traditional culture, Ou said.

“Politicians come and go, ideologies change, but the wisdom passed down from our ancestors over thousands of years will never fade,” Ou said. “I have confidence.”

The government has adopted a “zero tolerance” policy toward any behavior that infringes on the rights of migrant children, especially violence, sexual assault, school bullying and cybercrime.

Li Feng, an official from the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, emphasized the need for interagency cooperation to protect children’s rights.

“We will urge parents or guardians to fulfill their duties and provide family education guidance whenever we find any behavior that harms children’s rights,” Li said. “We will also work closely with civil affairs bureaus to support migrant children who live alone without proper guardianship.”

Li added that procuratorates will offer judicial aid to migrant children involved in criminal cases and provide financial allowances as needed. For children who have been victims of assault, they will provide living support and psychological assistance.

WordPress could prove neither of these allegations and so my blog was unblocked. Throughout all of this, however, WordPress continuously threatened me with the entire contents of my blog being deleted. This is 13-years of family and political activity – including my banning from Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, etc. I have never done anything wrong – all I have insisted on is supporting China and North Korea in a peaceful way. I am a British person from a culture that advocates the ancient Greek attributes of freedom of thought and freedom of expression – but it seems that when I exercise these attributes – the Americans do not like it! A Summer Fayre is currently being held within the grounds of Buckfast Abbey – administered by the Church. The priests of the Catholic Church have worked-out a way to introduce a pay-wall which benefits their greed whilst seemingly acting in accordance with the wishes of the monks. Yes – the Catholic Church only cares for greed, political dominance and temporal power. and this is why the Catholic Church has started charging for parking, an initiative enforced by specially hired night-club Bouncers who stand menacingly at the gates – demanding to “see” the tickets – proving the £6 parking fee had been paid! This dichotomy exemplifies the difference which exists between the Christian Church and Christian monastic establishment. The priests want money (as do the lay-people who set-up their stalls) – the monks (who could not be seen anywhere) – want inner tranquillity and outer peace!

Glastonbury Abbey: Abbot’s Kitchen – St Joseph’s Well! (30.7.2024)

Today, an ad hoc “Wishing Well” has developed in one of the corners of the room. This was probably a drain or perhaps some type of cooker – but in modern times visitors have taken to dropping coins down through the covering grill – and making heartfelt requests in the form of prayers and good wishes. Our daughters asked for good health to be bestowed upon Nana (Diane Wyles), Granddad (Peter Wyles) and Charlotte (my younger sister)! The currency observed spans the globe – which demonstrates the universal appeal that Glastonbury holds. This is not necessarily “religious” (although religion is important for many) – but rathe “spiritual” in nature – the latter category being far more inclusive and all-embracing!
