Brixham Down Wind Mill Road!

Brixham: A Photographic Strole Down “Windmill Hill”! (3.4.2026)

Gee had to park the car at the top of Wind Mill Hill – as that was the only place a parking-space was available not patrolled by militant locals who still seem to think WWII is ongoing. I jest – but one or two were a little bit prickly – commenting about “Townies” and “City-Dwellers” with “their big cars”! And so on. Still, at the end of the day, we are the visitors and we will be gone tomorrow. After carrying-out my duty – and visiting my various family relatives – I thought it would be a good idea to make a record of the journey down the hill from the parking-spot to the rented house. The view was quite beautiful and I hope I have captured our journey on foot down a steep Brixham hill – although we could not actually find a “Wind Mill”! Come to think of it – we are supposed to be near the Brixham Army Cadet Centre – but we never found this place either!

Shroud of Turin: Latest “Science” Continues to Prove Cloth Not “Supernatural”! (2.4.2026)

Even the Catholic Church declared the Shroud of Turin “Fake” in the Middle Ages – but the modern Vatican likes to play the guessing-game in a dishonest attempt to convince rationally thinking people that the sky-spirit it a) generates and b) venerates – is objectively “real”. What else would you expect from an institution that openly and surreptitiously supports fascism and Nazism, etc? Indeed, the Catholic Church has spent far more of its resources on safely relocating Nazi German War Criminals “out of Europe” – than it has proving the Shroud to be literally real – this fact alone demonstrates the priorities of the Vatican. What does the latest “scientific” research tell us about Jesus? Fasten your seat-belts – it’s going to be an exhilarating ride. To date, the Church can confidently confirm the following about Jesus – the “Christ”.

Sutton (South London) - Full Monn - January 5th 2026!

Sutton: Full Moon – January! (5.1.2026)

Not quite the Arctic Tundra – but nevertheless -3 – and abit parky (brass monkeys) as we say in England. There has been a slight scattering of snow in the South – but up North it has been quite bad. There is talk of more snow in London – but talk is cheap! I went running with a 56 lbs pack today – wearing my old sturdy boots – and had tp tread carefully between the fluffy and charming snow and the nasty (hidden) black-ice. I do not fancy taking a tumble at 58-years old. Mind you – I find the cold air bracing and invigorating. Also, I wanted to set an example for Mei-An – my oldest daughter – who had to walk through the ice to school today, the first day back at school in our area.

A Saturday Morning Trip to the Honey-Shop!

The Galmpton “Honour System” – Walking to the Honey-Shop on a Saturday Morning! (30.8.2025)

Having stayed in Galampton a number of times now – my parent’s house is full of various medical paraphernalia – we noticed a sign (one of many) outside a beautiful brick-work #(chocolate-box) cottage – advertising local honey. Although this sign is a permanent fixture, we were never quite sure if the honey is available all year round – and we did not want to bother the owners. I could just imagine a startled villager as their sedate and isolated cottage is over-ran by a loud South London family – and their two-dogs!

Adrian - Scarecrow Graduation!

Northants: Adrian & Gee Graduate as Scarecrows! (28.7.2025)

Being fans of the books and various dramatizations of “Wurzel Gummidge” – we were thrilled to lean of a local (Northants) “Scarecrow Course” sponsored by the Labour government as a job creation scheme. As this is a wealthy area – the local landowners are always on the look-out for suitable candidates for this partly government funded training course. Initially, we had to watch all the Jeepers Creepers films and learn to run smoothly through the corn fields.

A Beautiful Lodge!

Sutton & Cheam: Family Outing in Nonsuch Park! (13.6.2025)

There is an irony to it all. Although Henry was acting to empower his own position, and in so doing strengthen the English crown, by creating a capitalist economy premised upon trade, profit, and individualistic employment, (we are forced to earn profit to “pay” to keep the inequalities and injustices of the capitalist system at a distance) – he inadvertently and simultaneously generated the conditions that led to enriched peasants who specialised in the “trade” of linking the aristocracy to the rare and precious goods they craved and desired. These “merchants” (burghers) were wealthy citizens living in towns and cities who could mimmick the aristocracy by dressing like them, sending their children to the same schools, and standing for Parliament. Eventually, so many were elected and empowered in this way (forming a new “middle class” termed the “bourgeoise”) that they raised an army, defeated and beheaded the King (Charles I) – and abolished the very institute of absolute monarchy that Henry thought he was saving.
