Market Overton: 17th Century Window! (6.11.2025)

What is now the dining area – where I set-up my study space – was probably once part of the garden. Therefore, the window itself was once considered the height of building technology. In those days, draughts from blowing winds were a major issue. The frame of this window is firmly embedded in the wall-structure so that no wind can penetrate. The cement and plaster hold it robustly in place – whilst its relatively small surface area allows for strength and stability. As glass was not as strong then as it is now – the panes of glass used were far-smaller – with each held in-place by its own frame. Furthermore, and a feature I like, is the central pane that possesses a stout hinging and opening and shutting mechanism. Even today – this design still retains much of its original strength – whilst being now inside the house means it is now better preserved.

China: Flesh Embraces Steel in New Age of Prosthetics Aesthetics! (17.9.2025)

This is because the disabled suffer the greatest extent of discrimination – and many sympathetic able-bodied know that if they step out of line with their able-bodied colleagues – then doors are shut. Indeed, one comment was left at the foot of my article stating that “It is the fault of the disabled. All their extra needs are a burden to the average worker. Why should the average worker make any extra allowances for disabled individuals when they contribute nothing to the system, and are a drain on society? As the disabled produce little (or no) material gain and/or surplus profit through their labour – why should (the workers) share what little they have with them?” And this comment derived not from the right – but from the left! Today, I see comments like this on virtually ALL right-wing and far-right forums – with the left remaining quiet on the subject – whilst simultaneously doing nothing about it! This is the debilitating world of stifled intellectualism we live in in the West. Compare this with the giant strides being made in Socialist China!

New DPRK Posters!

DPRK: New Educational Posters! (1.7.2025)

Even the illiterate can understand the posters providing they are not visually-impaired. If the workers are visually-impaired – then fully-sighted comrades can describe the posters to them. On top of this, each poster will detail a specific aspect of a new Socialist society – with words and sentences adding to the depth and texture of the State transmission. Posters are a simple, inexpensive, and very powerful way of communicating between the Communist Party and the masses. A few years ago, I was told that there would be a display of North Korean propaganda posters in nearby Croydon on a Saturday afternoon. As this was only for a few hours on a single day, we could not attend due to work – not being able to get time off, etc. Still, with a direct line to North Korean news, I can see developments early every single day! I particularly appreciate the hammer, sickle, and the scholar’s brush (pen)!

Memorial Stone for the Crew of the CSS HL Hunley!

CSA: Remembering the CSS HL Hunley – Confederate Submarine Recovered in 2000! (8.4.2025)

These were the last Confederate soldiers to be laid to rest in the US. They were buried in 2004 in Charleston – with over ten thousand people attending – many carrying Confederate flags. The official US government stance was one of indifference and perhaps embarrassment (the US was busy illegally invading Iraq and Afghanistan – falsely blaming both countries for the September 11th World Trade Centre Attacks). One of the submarine crew – “C Lumpkin” – was British (images of what the crew looked like have been created), whilst two others (of the eight-man crew) were also non-American (“Corporal Johan Frederik Carlsen” was Danish – whilst “Arnold Becker” was Germany). In other words, three of the eight were foreign – and I know that people came from Ireland (which was then under British control) and from Mainland Britain to join the Confederate Cause.

China: Electric AS700 “Airship” Makes Successful Debut Flight! (22.2.2025)

Domestically made airship AS700 will take off in later half of 2021, said Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) Special Vehicle Research Institute on Wednesday. The airship can hold maximum of nine passengers to meet the requirement of low-altitude tourism market, according to media report.

To meet the requirement of China’s and international requirement of low altitude tourism, the maximum range and flight time of AS700 airship can reach 700 kilometres and travel uninterrupted for 10 hours. Single line seats and wide-opened windows provide maximum of 9 passengers with a unique viewing experience.

Zhang Jinhua, senior designer of AVIC Special Vehicle Research Institute said the development and research of AS700 airship started from 2018. “With the development of tourism industry, modern airship is able to provide sightseeing, cargo and passenger transmission business basing on its economical and safe features,” said Zhang.
