Furthermore, even before the bullets are fired – the deliberate oppression that is “social engineering” is often used to “soften-up” any and all opposition to predatory capitalism and its mania for death. The UK should have finished-off this aberration in 1776, 1812, or even in 1861 by taking the side of the Confederacy (we might as well have done – as thousands of British fought for the South)! The UK had its chances and we let humanity down!

This is reported by The Telegraph, citing a recent study that counts at least 491 former Anglican vicars who have been ordained Catholic priests in the last thirty years.

The phenomenon dates back to 1992, when the General Synod of the Church of England approved the ordination of women, a decision that triggered a first wave of departures. Since then, doctrinal and moral debates have intensified, generating a growing fracture between conservative and liberal sectors of Anglicanism.

On Friday, the Bishop of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich, Dr Joanne Grenfell, said that she “approached Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Bishops with the voices of LGBTQI+ colleagues and friends on my heart.

“So many have written to me to ask that the House of Bishops does not forget that our work is not just part of a church process, but fundamentally affects their lives and those of their loved ones,” she said.

The Bishop quoted a recent sermon by the Dean of St Edmundsbury, the Very Revd Joe Hawes, in which he called on the Bishops to act (News, 15 December).

Decisions “cannot be paused or stalled”, Dr Grenfell said: “There are matters of justice that need attention now, particularly around ordinands and clergy in same-sex marriages.”

For me, it was obvious that “virtue” equated to “longevity” – and it had nothing to do with the Bible or Western religion (the godly live to very old ages). The Western view was (and remains) that non-Christians are essentially evil and therefore are unable to live to very old ages. The Devil strikes them down due to his own inherent corruption – which flows through their veins. As a non-Christian, this description would involve myself – but here’s the thing – I do not feel any more or less good or bad than anyone else. Furthermore, I was told that Chinese people “lie” about their age in an attempt to mimic those who lived very long lives in the Old Testament (according to the Jews). I could not understand this approach – as Chinese Daoism is an ancient teaching (in one form or another) that specialises in “life-extension”. Virtue (德 – De) is a product of climbing a tower (self-cultivation) so that when the top is reached (enlightenment) – things can be seen in a 360 degree perspective.

Many on the right and far-right detest Farage as a traitor and betrayer of the cause – but I doubt many know his plans to switch back-on this pathway of highly dubious legal immigration. Let’s face it, any policy the government decrees to be acceptable – becomes legal. The hypocrisy of Farage – that great friend of the betrayer of the left George Galloway – is only a drop in the ocean of the problems the UK has got. If you have access to a TV, computer screen, and/or a streaming service, you can regale yourself with the utter mess the UK has become via the (unintentionally) hilarious footage covering the Conference of Reform UK. This looks like a cross between X Factor, Stars in Their Eyes, and Blind Date. If you happen to have lived through any of these Crimes Against Humanity – you will probably “whince” as a form of Pavlovian conditioning.
