The typical (Christian) Monastic Rule states that on the day of the birth of Jesus Christ (Christmas Day), the monks, nuns and lay-observants (oblates), are solemn, humble, conscientious, profoundly aware, and committed to the structures of the Rule they follow. The interesting thing, however, is that the day of Christ’s birth is no more – and no less – significant than any other of the 364 days that exist throughout the year within the monastic cycle. Yes – various holy days (including Christmas Day) attract specific sermons and rituals – but these are inserted into the general daily framework of the Monastic Rule itself. Extra-food and extra-drink (outside of that already permitted by the Rule) is not allowed. A break from the daily round of monastic duty (outside the Rule) is not allowed. Finally, as the monastics and lay-observants own “nothing” (not even their robes) – there is never any giving of gifts (private property is not permitted under the Rule).

Zhang Manru is a very talented woman and is the Chairman of the Guangzhou Shiruya Cosmetics Co., Ltd. Zhang Manru is also the founder of “Medizhi” brand of cosmetics – hence the inscription on the background seen in the above video. She is a native of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, PRC, on May 11th, 1998. During 2017, the Guangzhou Shiruya Cosmetics Co., Ltd was established – and Zhang Manru served as its legal representative. During August 2020, Zhang Manru was invited to be interviewed by Guangdong Radio and the Television Station “Innovation Guangdong” – discussing the subject of “Protecting Young People’s Entrepreneurial Dreams”. Zhang Manru has attempted on a number of occasions to gain fame as an internet Influencer – and in the above video she has achieved this objective! I was asked what the true story behind this is about – and so I have! The West lies whilst Socialist China continues to progress!

It is surprising how many people in the UK think that there might have been a miscarriage of justice in this instance – but as you can see – there is nothing ‘funny’ about the noise the ‘Stylophone’ makes! In its day it was seen as the ipad of the 1970s! Many have described its outpourings as similar to sounds made by a cat ‘trapped’ in a tumble-dryer! Weirdly, I seem to remember Rolf Harris travelling to Court whilst riding in a boat on the Thames! Later, after his release from custody, he was then spotted by the tabloid press walking his dog – at least that they think he was doing with it!
