Politics is a funny business! The British Left is riddled with Trotskyism and is thoroughly disjointed, weak and unable to marshal its forces. This lack of vision and political will has surrendered the battlefield to the Bourgeoisie and the far-right – two very good friends of Trotsky.
Black Power was still “Revolutionary” at this time – but after 2001 many performers switched their style to eulogising the very capitalism that had a) historically enslaved their ancestors, and b) continuously generates race-prejudice against their people – from one generation to the next! Today, Black-Americans are tempted to merely settle for a slice of the capitalist pie – where they can “buy” a relative sense of security by living in (exclusive) gated communities (usually with White people) protected by “Private” Security posing as Police Officers!

When I was writing it, I was remembering how hard it was to be a 16-year-old in high school. I always wanted to be an artist, so I was this loner kid who just got drunk all the time. I only had one real friend. There was a girl I really liked, and she ended up taking really sleazy photographs with her boyfriend, and that really crushed me, I was just swimming in this pit of despair, jealousy and alcoholism. This ‘capitalist’ fear led to the dropping of two atom bombs on a non-White country (Japan) – when this country possessed absolutely NOTHING to fight back with! Yes – the Japanese committed the Nanjing Massacre in 1937 – but we must not forget that the Japanese worker is also our Comrade and that he and she are also the victims of self-imposed feudalism, (Western) imperialism and capitalist oppression!
