The original ‘Socialist’ concept of the French Foreign Legion was invented by Napoleon around 1802. This celebrated the ‘International’ nature of Socialism and invited anyone from anywhere to join the ‘Legion’! Since its reconstruction in 1831, the Legion has often been used by the Bourgeois French Government to act in an imperialist manner!
