Laos Buddhist-Socialist Republic: Remains of US Soldiers Returned! (7.6.2025)

Representing the Lao Government was Mr. Akaphap Phanthavong, Director of the European-American Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Receiving the remains on behalf of the United States was Ms. Michelle Outlaw, Deputy Chief of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in the Lao PDR. Officials and representatives from both nations stood together in solemn remembrance and solidarity.

The remains were recovered through a joint Lao-U.S. operation, the fourth such survey and excavation conducted during the 2024–2025 period in Dakcheung District, Sekong Province. The mission underscores Laos’ steadfast commitment to humanitarian values and its ongoing efforts to help American families find long-awaited closure.

Russia: May 9th “Victory Over Fascism” – 80th [1945-2025] Commemoration! (9.5.2025)

From 1942-1945 he fought everyday in the North Atlantic. Recently, the “Russian Arctic Convoy Museum” – voted to remove the word “Russian” from its title – can you believe that? I stood with Veterans of these fine and brave men at the Soviet War Memorial in the grounds of the Imperial War Museum – and everyone of them had a positive viewpoint of the USSR and Russia. Like my grandfather (Arthur Gibson) these brave men were not permitted to march at the London Cenotaph (primarily by the Royal British Legion) due to their association with the Soviet Union. Ironically, the Soviet War Memorial was unveiled in 1999 – when “New” Labour was still pretending to be “left-wing”! Finally, all those loyal British military Veterans who had fought alongside our Soviet allies during WWII – were permitted a spot where they could finally parade and carry their flags with honour and dignity!

A non-White person is not necessarily our ally – and a White person is not necessarily our enemy. Watch and listen – see how they act and comprehend their mind-set and intentions. Have no doubts about this – be dialectically certain, strong, and direct. Adjust yourself to circumstances, continue to prevail, and do not allow the enemy any easy victories. Fight them mentally, fight them emotionally, fight them physically – and always ascertain the right time to perform each allotted task. Do not compromise working-class dignity and always strive for change and the defeat of the false consciousness the bourgeoisie imposes all the time. Never inwardly or outwardly surrender! Remain “free” even in a prison cell!

Khamsy’s story is common among rural communities and echo the new study’s stark statistic: 60 per cent of interviewed female caregivers reported a lack confidence in vaccine decisions, often deferring to husbands or elders. While in some cases mothers do lead vaccination decisions, particularly for routine immunization and HPV vaccines for girls, men in the family frequently hold the final authority, including the power to veto decisions. They also tend to have greater influence over vaccination choices for boys than mothers do. Regardless of who holds influence, the study highlights that adolescents generally have limited agency in making vaccination decisions, which are instead made primarily by parents and are often shaped by misinformation.
