China: Beijing Blasts False Claims Regarding HMPV Infection! (11.1.2025)

Speaking about the current influenza in China, Guo, the spokesman, said winter is usually the season with a higher frequency of respiratory infections in the Northern Hemisphere, and influenza viruses are one of the common pathogens.

“At the moment, the scale and intensity of infectious respiratory disease epidemics in China are lower than those of the same period last year,” Guo said.

He emphasized that the Chinese government has always attached great importance to the health of its own people and foreign nationals in China.

In addition to the country’s sentinel surveillance of a wide range of acute respiratory infectious diseases and the publication of the results, China’s experts in disease control have also introduced scientific protective measures on many occasions, he noted.

China also maintains close communication with the WHO to share timely information on respiratory diseases, he added.

CSA: Confederate Aeronautical Ballon Corps – Peninsula Campaign [1862]! (10.1.2025)

For safety reasons, the Confederates decided to transport their balloon via the water when not in operation (to protect it from enemy fire). The silk balloon was loaded onto the armed (CSA) tug “Teaser” – to transport it from the Richmond Gas Works up to the front-lines along the James River. This system, however, eventually led to the demise of the Gazelle. The Teaser, loaded with the Gazelle, ran into Union Naval Forces patrolling the James River, and was fired upon and captured by the US Marines carried aboard the USS Maratanza. The Confederate balloon was given to the Union expert – Thaddeus Lowe – who cut it up into scraps to give as souvenirs. Some of these pieces are still in existence. The Union lost the Peninsula Campaign due to a lack of reliable military intelligence. The Confederate Aeronautical Balloon Corps was abolished on the 4th July, 1862 – following the retreat of Union Forces out of the South.

IDF Atrocities in Gaza!

UK Charity Regulator – “Unlawful” for British Charities – to Fund-Raise for Israeli Soldiers! (10.1.2025)

On Thursday, the Charity Commission issued a warning against Chabad Lubavitch Centres North East London and Essex Limited after the charity received 180 complaints for raising money for a soldier fighting for the Israeli army in northern Israel. 

In October 2023, Chabad Lubavitch Centres North East London and Essex Limited set up a fundraising page for a soldier stationed in northern Israel.

The page, which was eventually removed in January 2024, raised approximately £2.280. From that amount, Chabad sent £937 to an individual soldier. 

The trustees were unable to account for how those funds were spent. But the charity told the Charity Commission that the remaining funds were spent on non-lethal military equipment purchased by the trustees and sent to the same soldier in Israel.

Southern Men Arise!

How Great Britain Assisted the Formation of the Confederate Post Office [1861-1863]! (8.1.2025)

The internationally-known London, England printing firm of “Thomas De La Rue & Co.”, prepared plates and stamps for the CSA until a Southern firm was found to take over the work. That firm, Archer & Daly, began producing stamps in 1863. The US blockade of as many Confederate ports as possible often meant that British ships carrying supplies from London, the UK, or the British Empire to the Confederacy – were often intercepted via acts of piracy on the high seas by the US Navy – with the goods confiscated and/or destroyed. The US government was continuously irritated by the continuous (undeclared) British support for the Confederacy – which for at least two-years extended into the realms of Post Office support! Of course, many of the best weapons the Confederate Army possessed were supplied by the UK. The Postmaster General of the Confederate Post Office Department (POD) – John Reagan (whilst traveling with President Jefferson Davis) – was arrested on the 8th May 1865, and imprisoned at Fort Warren in Boston Harbor. Reagan was pardoned and released from prison almost two years later. Jefferson Davis “refused” a Pardon (on the grounds that he had done nothing wrong) – and was subsequently released anyway.

ICC: Eire Joins South Africa’s “Genocide” Case Against Israel! (8.1.2025)

Following today’s Cabinet meeting, the Tánaiste said:

“There has been a collective punishment of the Palestinian people through the intent and impact of military actions of Israel in Gaza, leaving 44,000 dead and millions of civilians displaced.

“By legally intervening in South Africa’s case, Ireland will be asking the ICJ to broaden its interpretation of what constitutes the commission of genocide by a State.

“We are concerned that a very narrow interpretation of what constitutes genocide leads to a culture of impunity in which the protection of civilians is minimised.

“Ireland’s view of the Convention is broader and prioritises the protection of civilian life – as a committed supporter of the Convention, the government will promote that interpretation in its intervention in this case.

“Intervening in both cases demonstrates the consistency of Ireland’s approach to the interpretation and application of the Genocide Convention.”
