Councillor Anthony Froud, chairman of the Nonsuch Park joint management committee, said: “This is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the dedication of our volunteers and staff.

“Local volunteers, the Nonsuch Voles and the Council’s Countryside, Property and Estates, and operational teams work year-round to protect and enhance this unique heritage landscape for the benefit of wildlife, visitors and future generations.

“These gold awards celebrate their hard work and the deep pride our community takes in Nonsuch Park.”

The result comes after work to restore heritage features of the garden, such as the greenhouse and the presence of several champion trees, a designation given to selected trees that are special because of their height, size, or significance.

At the age of four, Zhu unfortunately contracted polio. Striving for self-reliance, she persisted in her education, career, and entrepreneurship.

At Sunflower Home for the Disabled, Zhu and her team provide services such as vocational training, rehabilitation, and care. They also partner with businesses to help individuals with disabilities find jobs nearby or work from home.

In 2025, Nanjing’s first high-standard “accessible express hotel,” advocated by Zhu, went into operation. She personally tested and measured every detail of the accessibility facilities in the hotel.

Perhaps it’s not the rock that needs testing! Still, all he has been left with is a piece of worthless space debris that landed on Earth during 1951 (in June – the time of the Aussie Winter) – which turns-out to be the same age as the Earth is old – namely “4.6 million” years old!. I am reliably told by a medical colleague that Aussies are only “technically sober” during the first three months of their lives – when the motor-skills have not yet developed to lift the hand to the mouth. Gold is a lightweight and malleable mettle, which is rare, soft, and highly pliable. This meteorite, by way of comparison, is heavy, hard, and requires a Ford Cortina just to move it any significant distance.

At least 128 lives have been confirmed lost, among them were the elderly – who were supposed to enjoy their old age in the lap of their descendants. There are children who have not had time to experience the world well. There are also young people who died full of dreams. Their departure has plunged countless families into endless grief.

“Through diplomatic channels, including the delivery of a relevant note by the Ministry, we have issued a stern warning to Japan that the deployment of U.S.-made medium-range missiles on its relevant territory is unacceptable, regardless of the pretext, whether on a permanent, temporary, or other basis,” she noted.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson urged the Japanese government led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to “return to the foundations on which Japan’s post-war peaceful development is built.”

“These foundations are enshrined in the outcomes of World War II — foundations that, unfortunately, as we are once again compelled to note, have not yet been fully acknowledged by Japan,” she said.
