China: Commemorative Stamps Issued Marking 130th Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Birth – 纪念毛泽东同志诞辰130周年! (26.12.2023)

BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) — China Post will issue a commemorative stamp set on Tuesday to mark the 130th anniversary of the birth of Mao Zedong.

A total of 7.8 million of these stamp sets, with a denomination of 4.8 yuan (about 68 U.S. cents) for each set, can be purchased at designated postal outlets and online shops over the next six months.

Each set contains four stamps, featuring the themes of persistence in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, construction of the Ming Tombs Reservoir, the holding of a global vision, and returning to the Jinggangshan Mountains.

Mao was born on Dec. 26, 1893 and died on Sept. 9th, 1976.

As a pro-West, anti-communist and anti-China, highly conceited, and elitist party, the Civic Party took the wrong path from the beginning, Lau Siu-kai, a consultant from the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studies who is also a senior policy advisor, told the Global Times on Sunday.

Radical forces increasingly hijacked it and gradually turned it against the central government and local residents in Hong Kong. They misjudged the situation and believed that the central government would yield to the opposition as well as pressure from the US and the West, thus pushing themselves into a dead end, Lau said.

If the average reader knows anything about South Devon and the political complexion of many of its people – Arabic channels would be the last type of media that would be expected. Still, the place is near where my parents live and is not far from major shopping centres. For the time-being – this is our family headquarters and the place we will be spending Xmas Day 2023. Furthermore, prior to 1948, the North Korean people bravely confronted the Imperial Japanese and between 1950-1953 – the soldiers of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (alongside its Chinese Volunteer allies) not only took-on the aggression of the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand (mediated by a manipulated United Nations [UN]) inflicted spectacular military defeats upon the (collective) capitalist West!

Of course, as an act of Solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine, we posed for some of the photographs holding one of our Palestinian scaffs. The Israeli fascists have murdered over 20,009 Palestinian men, women and children and maimed over 70,000 in just four weeks using weaponry (much of it illegal) provided by the US and the UK. I wonder what the ancient ancestors of the UK would make of the fact that their descendents use the life they have given them to deprive others of just exactly that same thing! Perhaps they would drop to their knees in despair!
