Scotland and Ireland Pledge to Continue Their Funding for UNRWA! (29.1.2024)

On his “X” account, Scottish Prime Minister Hamzah Yousef said that the Scottish government will not stop or withdraw aid provided to UNRWA, stressing the need to continue supporting the agency to ensure that aid reaches the residents of Gaza.

For his part, Irish Foreign Minister Michael Martin announced that Ireland does not intend to stop funding the “vital work” carried out by UNRWA in the Gaza Strip.

In a post on the “X” platform, the minister said that his country provided UNRWA with 18 million euros last year and will continue to do so this year.

He noted that UNRWA provides life-saving assistance to 2.3 million people, adding that more than 100 of its employees were killed in the past four months of Israeli aggression.

The PFLP concluded its statement by stressing that the struggle is long, which requires the prosecution of the leaders of the Occupation – and its partners in America, Britain (and other places) for their heinous crimes! This invitation submitted by South Africa constitutes a step on the path to achieving this goal – although the main battle today is still confronting the Palestinian people. The Zionists are still perpetuating genocide, massacres, injustice, and brutality against the Palestinian people who require the immediate support of all Arab nations, and the free people of the world. This will counter the complicity (and inaction) of the international system, and its blatant bias towards the Zionist Occupation.

However, the aid convoys could face multiple challenges in their delivery. The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees said the Israeli forces opened fire Friday on an aid convoy that was returning from northern Gaza in a route designated by the Israeli army, leading to damage to one vehicle.

The World Food Programme warned a few days ago that the Palestinian enclave is facing the fifth stage of acute food insecurity and that the risk of famine is increasing daily amid intensified conflict and restricted humanitarian access.

China: CPC Department of International Relations Holds a Zoom “Study Course” on the Palestinian issue! (29.12.2023)

The First Session was entitled “Prospects for Resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”

The Second Session was entitled “The Current Situations in the Middle East and the Role of China.”

The Third Session is entitled “The Global Development Initiative for the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Transformation of the International Order.”

Dr. Maher Al-Taher participated – at the invitation of the Chinese side – with contributions in the First Session on the prospects for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

A number of Arab Parties also participated in this session – from Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, Morocco, Syria, Mauritania, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.

Dr. Maher Al-Taher delivered a speech in the First Session.

Although Qatar (which administers the anti-China Al Jazeera News Channel) assists Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Israel in their attack upon ‘Socialist’ Syria (meaning Qatar is an ally of Israel) – Israel has murdered journalists working for Al Jazeera, despite that network not being as outspoken against IDF atrocities as it could be in Palestine. How does Qatar balance its collusion with Israel in Syria whilst appearing to criticise the the Zionists in Palestine? There is a reason why the ceasefires and agreements are allowed to be brokered by Qatar – as it is otherwise a good ally of Israel and a firm mouthpiece for the US in the Middle East via its continuous stream of anti-China racism.
