Taklimakan Desert Evolution

China: Scientists Discover Age of Mid-Latitude Asian Deserts! (30.10.2024)

The research, titled “Spatial heterogeneity in the formation of large deserts in midlatitude Asia revealed by drill core evidence”, was published in the Science Bulletin this month.

“The climatic and environmental effects of dust aerosols significantly impact the global climate, biogeochemical cycles, marine ecosystems and even the global carbon cycle,” Wang said. He added that the research contributes to a better understanding of the long-term environmental changes in the deserts, a crucial source of dust for the Northern Hemisphere.

“Unravelling the history of the desert and its climate impacts will provide insights into how desert systems may respond to future climate changes,” Wang said, adding that the team will continue studying the drill cores to gain further insights into the formation and evolution of these deserts.

UN Supports China’s Stance on Human Rights! (25.10.2024)

Venezuela, representing the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations, reiterated the opposition to the “politicization of human rights and divisive actions”, criticizing “Western interference in other countries’ internal affairs under the guise of human rights”.

“The human rights situation that should gather the most attention at the Committee this year is undoubtedly that of Gaza,” Fu Cong, China’s permanent representative said. He called it “double standards” to downplay the humanitarian situation in Gaza while accusing China regarding issues in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

He accused Australia and the U.S. of “using human rights as a pretext to interfere in China’s internal affairs, curb its development, and broadly suppress developing countries that adhere to an independent and autonomous foreign policy.”

China: Uygur Women Hit Hardest by US Sanctions on Xinjiang! (1.9.2024)

Asked if the company would consider laying off its Uygur employees in exchange for the revocation of U.S. sanctions, Dai Tian, general manager of the Urumqi base at Xinjiang Middle Hoshine, said: “No. Absolutely not. We won’t lay off any ethic employees. They have been making contributions to the development of our company, how could we abandon them?”

“We even invested more in Xinjiang after the sanctions,” Dai said, adding that Hoshine has been adjusting its production structure and tackling technical challenges in response to the sanctions.

“We see safeguarding the great unity of our nation as our social responsibility. ‘Forced labor’ was merely an excuse to suppress the development of Chinese high-tech companies and to disrupt China’s social stability and unity. So we should be even more united, and focus on developing and strengthening ourselves,” Dai said.

CIA-Controlled NED Bad for Freedom!

US: CIA-Controlled “Endowment for Democracy” – Undermines Sovereignty and Self-Determination! (11.8.2024)

Former U.S. Congressman Ron Paul once said that the NED wasted a lot of U.S. taxpayers’ money to support foreign politicians and parties favoured by the U.S., and provided “soft money” to fund foreign election activities, but portrayed such manipulation of elections as “promoting democracy”.

The Russian Foreign Ministry in 2015 listed the NED as an “undesirable organization” and banned its activities in Russia.

“It is unpopular and despicable for Washington to use the NED as a means of foreign interference as every country has the right to pursue a development path suited to its national realities and the needs of its people,” said Wang Congyue, an associate researcher at the Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Many Non-Han People Visited the Noth-West Region!

China: Ancient Silk Road Museum of Underground Tombs Complex – Opens in Xinjiang! (16.7.2024)

A large cache of pottery and bone ware and coins unearthed from the tombs are also on display in the museum.

“The museum makes full use of the original appearance of the tombs, as well as digital exhibition, VR technology and touch screens to offer the audience an immersive experience of the ancient Qiuci,” said Feng Wei, deputy curator of the museum.

According to the Xinjiang regional institute of cultural relics and archaeology, four excavation rounds were carried out from 2007 to 2023 at the site in Kuqa, which led to the discovery of more than 2,000 relic sites. In addition to the tombs, there are wells, cooking stoves and other relics dating from the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) up to the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).

US-Trained Terroriss - 2024!

China: Harrowing Report Details 2014 Terrorist Attacks! (24.6.2024)

People worldwide face the same threat of terrorism, he said. The Western world needs to abandon double standards and the geopolitical use of terrorism, and genuinely unite under the framework of a community with a shared future for mankind to fight terrorism and extremism, ensuring lasting social stability and peace.

Zheng also acknowledges the progress made in controlling terrorism in Xinjiang through government efforts. However, it stresses the need for continued vigilance against extremist ideology, the root cause of such violence. “The fight against terrorism goes beyond taking down a few terrorists,” Zheng said. “We must combat extremist ideologies to prevent their resurgence.”
