He added, “The Israeli army forced patients and employees out of the ambulances and stripped all the paramedics of their clothes.”

He said that the convoy was carrying 24 patients, and had to leave 31 other patients in Al-Amal Hospital, which stopped working after being subjected to forty attacks last month alone, which resulted in the death of at least 25 people.

“Three Palestinian Red Crescent Society paramedics were later arrested, even though their personal data had been shared with Israeli forces beforehand,” Laerke said, adding that only one of them had been released so far.

The film shows how a young Palestinian activist, Basel Adra, documents the gradual demolition of the villages in his home region by Israeli soldiers. At some point, he meets Yuval Abraham, an Israeli journalist, who supports him in his efforts.

The documentary film about life and struggle against Israel’s occupation and expulsion policies also won the Berlinale’s Panorama Audience Award.

I have two children, Ahmed (9 years old) and Ola (8 years old), and they tell me that they long to breathe freely and comfortably, but we do not have this luxury currently, and our day goes from morning to evening in fatigue and anxiety, and we fear that the process will begin again. I worry that the Zionist military forces will come and I lose my children – and then we are busy again getting water and bread.”

On Feb. 11, Israel bombed a dwelling house of refugees, killing dozens of innocent inhabitants. The next day it killed civilians by mobilizing planes, tanks and warships.

As a result of Israel’s rash acts, over 100 people were killed and hundreds of civilians including women and children were injured in Rafah City and its surrounding areas on Feb. 12 alone.

When recalling once again that a spokesperson for the Israeli military unhesitatingly said that it is a “very effective rate” to kill two people in order to kill one Hamas militant, one can know clearly that the present situation is a purposeful and conscious act of Israel to exterminate the Palestinian nation.

The mayor of Rafah City expressed concerns, saying that “Israel’s bombing is being intensified over the past few hours, which serves as preparations for military operation in the city”.

Russian Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia said today addressing the UN Security Council that Washington continues to provide Israel with “a license to kill”.

He said: “Algeria organized discussions in good faith to produce its draft resolution, but the US in effect issued an ultimatum, asserting that the draft was dangerous as it would obstruct ongoing talks.

“Indeed, Washington continues to insist the Council not interfere in the US plans, he said. The US has vetoed similar draft resolutions in the past, he added.

It was none other than the U.S. and western countries that cooked up a brigandish decision on building an Arab State and a Jewish State – by dividing Palestine at the Second Session of the UN General Assembly in November 1947 – whilst that decision instigated the Zionists’ ambition for territorial expansion by handing over a large amount of redundant WWII weaponry after the “founding” of the State of Israel.

Even when Israel brutally suppressed the just struggle of the Palestinian people while resorting to the expansion of Jewish Settlements by blockading the Gaza Strip, the U.S. and the West supported Israel, playing the role of blind and deaf mute.

The double standards of the U.S. and the West patronizing Israel are becoming more apparent with the Middle East conflict acting as this policy’s sounding board.
