Covid 19: UK Suffered 230,000 Deaths – Highest in Europe! (6.12.2023)

Johnson was forced to step down in mid-2022 after support for him evaporated over the “partygate” scandal. He was fined by the police for attending a party in 2020 during the country’s COVID-19 lockdown, becoming the first serving UK prime minister in history to break the law. Revelations of him and his employees reveling in booze-fueled parties in 2020 and 2021 at Downing Street infuriated the British public.

COVID-19 killed more than 230,000 people in the UK, one of the highest death tolls in Europe.

The COVID-19 inquiry is chaired by Baroness Heather Hallett, a former Court of Appeal judge. The inquiry is split into four areas: resilience and preparedness; core UK decision making and political governance; the impact of COVID-19 on healthcare systems; vaccines, therapeutics and antiviral treatment.

Hallett said she intends to publish the report on the first area of work by early summer 2024.

Fu Zitang, head of Southwest University of Political Science and Law’s Human Rights Institute, said that China proposing the Global Security Initiative, the Global Development Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative stands as a constructive solution to address human rights deficits and enhance global human rights governance.

Fu said that China promotes human rights through development, safeguards them through security and advances human rights through cooperation, which contributes to global peace and security.

Liu Huawen, executive director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Institute of Human Rights, said the declaration is universal, applying to all nations regardless of size, strength or wealth.

It is powerful not due to material resources or substantial enforcement, but because of its representation of the common ideals and goals of all humanity, “giving it enduring vitality, extensive influence and timeless inspiration”, Liu said.

Palestine: Latest Israeli War Crimes Kill Over 700 Civilians in Just 24-Hours! (4.12.2023)

Meanwhile, at least three people were killed and 20 others wounded in an Israeli bombardment targeting a house owned by the Abu Jiyab family in the Abu Eskandar area, north of Gaza City, according to medics.

Moreover, the Palestinian civil defense service said that several people were killed and wounded in homes destroyed by Israeli warplanes on Yafa Street, east of Gaza City.

Earlier in the day, the civil defense service spokesperson Mahmoud Basal reported that 84 dead were transported to Al-Muamalat Hospital in Gaza due to Israeli airstrikes in the recent hours.

The government’s Media Office Director Ismael Al-Thawabteh told reporters on Sunday that more than 700 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza during the last 24 hours.

State of Palestine Mission (London) UK – 2022 Statement Condemning Israeli Aggression in Gaza! (3.12.2023)

Husam Zomlot, the Palestinian ambassador to the UK said: “All those asserting Israel’s ‘right to defend itself’ are simply misguided. They are enabling Israel to continue its crimes with impunity. Israel’s assault on Gaza is an illegal consolidation of an illegal and belligerent occupation and an illegal and brutal blockade.”

“For as long as Israel is allowed to carry on with its aggressions against the Palestinian people without being held to account, innocent Palestinian lives – like that of 5-year-old Alaa Qaddoum who was killed by an Israeli air strike on Gaza yesterday – will continue to be lost.“

“It is not enough for the UK or the world to call on ‘both sides’ to show restraint,” Ambassador Zomlot said. “There is only one occupying power.”

If the UK and the world want to save lives, they will take immediate action to hold Israel accountable. If not, blood is on the hands of the international community too.
