Laos Buddhist-Socialist Republic: Remains of US Soldiers Returned! (7.6.2025)

Representing the Lao Government was Mr. Akaphap Phanthavong, Director of the European-American Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Receiving the remains on behalf of the United States was Ms. Michelle Outlaw, Deputy Chief of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in the Lao PDR. Officials and representatives from both nations stood together in solemn remembrance and solidarity.

The remains were recovered through a joint Lao-U.S. operation, the fourth such survey and excavation conducted during the 2024–2025 period in Dakcheung District, Sekong Province. The mission underscores Laos’ steadfast commitment to humanitarian values and its ongoing efforts to help American families find long-awaited closure.

Founder Aron D’Souza believes athletes should be entitled to do what they wish with their own bodies.

But the Australian businessman’s concept has been heavily criticised for the potential impact on athletes’ health, and undermining fair play.

UK Anti-Doping (Ukad) said last year its mission was “to protect sport from doping cheats”. It added: “There is no place in sport for performance-enhancing drugs, nor the Enhanced Games.”

At a launch event on Wednesday, Las Vegas was announced as the host of the inaugural Enhanced Games, which will run from 21-24 May 2026.

Organisers said that under their permitted conditions, Greek swimmer Kristian Gkolomeev had gone quicker than the 50m freestyle world record, which has stood since 2009.

The National Indian Health Board said in a letter to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. last month that tribal communities had lost more than 6 million U.S. dollars in grants from HHS agencies.

The cuts may affect community health workers, vaccination programmes and data modernization efforts, said Janet Alkire, chairperson of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe on the South Dakota and North Dakota border.

“We have not been consulted with meaningfully on any of these actions,” said Liz Malerba of the United South and Eastern Tribes Sovereignty Protection Fund, as tribal leaders argued the cuts violate federal treaty obligations.

Native Americans suffer higher rates of chronic illness and shorter life expectancy than the general population, said the report.

How did we get here? Well, every time India or Pakistan acquires a right-wing (anti-China) government – that regime is rewarded with excessive amounts of economic and military aid – Starmer has just shafted British workers in favour of their Indian equivalents in just such a deal. At onetime, it was a hard-line Pakistan that NATO favoured over a wishy-washy National Congress India – but no more! The far-right BJP in India are the new darlings of the West and this is why Trump has engineered an attack on a Pakistan which has not been playing to script of late – drawing ever closer to a Socialist China to find support against an out of control Hindu-Nazi India. The West has switched its favouritism to an India that has a 90& illiteracy rate and wide-spread starvation – providing this “unsteady” regime with the most advanced weaponry US charity can provide. BJP India is a type of cut-price Israel – doing US bidding in its local area.

US: Trump Orders Re-Opening of “The Rock” – Notorious Alcatraz Prison! (5.5.2025)

It would take an enormous amount of money to make Alcatraz into a functioning prison, Professor Gabriel Jack Chin from the Davis School of Law at the University of California told the BBC.

The federal prison system is actually down about 25% from its peak population and “there are a lot of empty beds” in existing prisons, Chin said. “So its not clear if a new one is needed.”

Alcatraz has “a reputation as a tough prison” and Trump is trying to send a message that his administration will be tough on crime, Chin added.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat whose district includes Alcatraz, said the proposal was “not a serious one,” while the Democratic state senator for San Francisco, Scott Wiener, called the idea “deeply unhinged” in post on Instagram and “an attack on the rule of law.”
