Either way, the left is completely crushed and dead in the water (although it exists in a disjointed manner on platforms like Telegram). Of course, the legitimate (Maduro) government is broadcasting on Telegram and it is educating its people not to fall for the simplistic online US lies and misdirection. The problem is a broader issue which has seen the governments of Western Europe permit the US-controlled internet to invade sovereign (non-American) geographical spaces and apply US law where such law does not exist (the political left outside of the US has been one of the most prevalent victims of this policy) – the right and far-right the greatest benefiter). The US concept of “freedom of speech” allows “ignorance” to possess the same status as “wisdom” – and herein lies the problem. The UK possesses “responsibility of speech” – where each individual must learn the current acceptable parameters within public debate (private is another matter) – and operate from within those limitations. The only place to possess “freedom of speech” in the UK is the British Parliament.
