Internal divisions in the Church of England, especially around the ordination of women and the blessing of same-sex couples, have caused a steady flow of Anglican clergy to the Catholic Church in recent decades. This is reported by The Telegraph, citing a recent study that counts at least 491 former Anglican vicars who have been ordained Catholic priests in the last thirty years.

The phenomenon dates back to 1992, when the General Synod of the Church of England approved the ordination of women, a decision that triggered a first wave of departures. Since then, doctrinal and moral debates have intensified, generating a growing fracture between conservative and liberal sectors of Anglicanism.

On Friday, the Bishop of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich, Dr Joanne Grenfell, said that she “approached Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Bishops with the voices of LGBTQI+ colleagues and friends on my heart.

“So many have written to me to ask that the House of Bishops does not forget that our work is not just part of a church process, but fundamentally affects their lives and those of their loved ones,” she said.

The Bishop quoted a recent sermon by the Dean of St Edmundsbury, the Very Revd Joe Hawes, in which he called on the Bishops to act (News, 15 December).

Decisions “cannot be paused or stalled”, Dr Grenfell said: “There are matters of justice that need attention now, particularly around ordinands and clergy in same-sex marriages.”

Like millions of others, I was brought-up watching Dr Who. I was even present with its relaunch and RTD’s heyday – but something has gone very, very wrong. RTD is now a malignant force that has destroyed Dr Who and everything good about a left-leaning UK. Libya was a thriving Arab Socialist State – until Obama destroyed it for Israel. Of course, the UK assisted the US in this act of blatant neo-imperialism. After this, Obama instigated a Neo-Nazi Uprising in Ukraine that has to date claimed around 1.7 million Ukrainian lies and perhaps 25,000 Russian lives. Dr Who used to remain aloof whilst perpetuating a left-leaning scientific resistance. There is a disturbing trend of late, of gay White men uncoupling themselves from the leftism that actually gave them Gay Rights – and embracing the rightwing and far-right. I believe RTD is one such individual.

Indeed, the brain is a later extension of the spine. Prior to the development of cogent human thought – the spinal reflex-arc kept humanity alive as much as possible through basic cause and effect conditioning. Later, cogent thought was layered over this process – giving the false impression that the brain (and will-power) is responsible. Reflex-arcs are so quick – there is no time for “thinking”. The reality is that the finger is pierced and moved away from danger PRIOR to any pain being felt. The brain, with all its moralising, would have you believe that logic, reason caused the reflex-arc and its entire existence was to avoid unnecessary pain. I suspect that when this reflex-arc was first laid-down millions of years ago – the then pre-human life-form could not experience the level of pain humans do today – so the avoidance of “pain” cannot be the motivation for the avoidance of danger.

Andrea Thompson, for her part, made transphobic statements when she came second – but soon changed her tune when she was declared the winner. She was reminded that the trans community supports her fully in all her endeavours – whilst she has back-tracked away from her (less than flattering) White-adjacent attitudes and behaviour post-competition.

Eventually, this new “Middle Class” was trusted with procuring weaponry and hiring fighting men for the nobility – a position the bourgeoisie eventually used for its own empowerment. This is why across Europe numerous Civil Wars broke-out between the bourgeoisie and the nobility – with each vying with the other to attract the peasantry to their respective banners. In the case of the English Civils Wars (three conflicts that occurred in the 1640s and 1650s) – Parliament had been slowly infiltrated by bourgeois Members of Parliament (MPs) over a long period of time. These individuals played-ball for decades before showing their true class colours and finally taking on the English State.
