China Focus: Mars Rover Zhurong Finds Evidence of Water at Red Planet’s Low Latitudes! (1.5.2023)

In the study, researchers estimated the dunes Zhurong found were formed about 400,000 to 1.4 million years ago. The exchange of water vapor between the higher and lower latitudes during this period led to repeated humid environments at low Martian latitudes, followed by the frequent occurrence of salty water when temperatures dropped in the region.

Qin said the discovery provides key proof of liquid water at Martian low latitudes, where surface temperatures are relatively warm and more suitable for life than high latitudes.

It also provides information for the design of future exploration strategies for Mars rovers. As saline water once existed at various latitudes on the surface of Mars, priority should be given to salt-tolerant microbes in future missions searching for extant life on Mars, researchers said in the study.

After Chang’e 6, the Chang’e 7 robotic probe will be sent to land on the moon’s South Pole to perform “high-precision investigations”, Wu said.

“The Chang’e 7 mission is meant to look for traces of water on the South Pole, investigate the environment and weather there, and survey the landform. The probe will carry a ‘flyby craft’ tasked with flying into pits on the lunar surface to look for ice,” the scientist said.

“Chang’e 7 will also be tasked with detecting the natural resources beneath the lunar South Pole’s surface. Mission planners are trying to assess if we can use the probe to dig into the surface and study underground structures and their composition,” he said.

In the long run, scientists will use components of the three upcoming missions — the orbiters, landers, rovers and sensors — to form the prototype of a robotic scientific outpost, which will act as a platform for international collaboration on lunar exploration, he added.

He said that this should be the most important and top priority task of our Collective Nation!

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un organized a non-stationary satellite launch preparation committee to launch Military Reconnaissance Satellite No. 1 – which had was successfully manufactured as of April – within the planned time frame – with accelerated final preparations. He set forth the militant task of firmly building reconnaissance and information-gathering capabilities by the DPRK. SpaceX’s Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket, collectively referred to as Starship, represent a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond.

Starship will be the world’s most powerful launch vehicle ever developed, capable of carrying up to 150 metric tonnes fully reusable and 250 metric tonnes, according to SpaceX.

To date, the SpaceX team has completed multiple sub-orbital flight tests of Starship’s upper stage from Starbase, and also conducted numerous tests of the Super Heavy rocket, which include the increasingly complex static fires that led to a full-duration 31 Raptor engine test, according to SpaceX.

NASA awarded SpaceX contracts worth several billions of U.S. dollars to use Starship to ferry American astronauts to the surface of the moon under the space agency’s Artemis program.

NASA has announced plans to use a Starship to put astronauts on the lunar surface in 2025.

My PhD is in ‘Spiritual Metaphysics’ – which suggests I study all phenomena relating to religion and the human experience of spirituality. Of course, I possess a personal opinion – the my personal opinions are a product of my freedom of thought and have no bearing upon what might – or might not – be happening. As I do not trust the slap-dash and haphazard manner in which US anti-intellectualism manipulates historical data on the US govermentally controlled ‘Wikipedia’ – I have accessed ‘Tamil’ language sources – and spoken to Tamil historians about the situation regarding Ramalinga Swamigal (1823-1874). He was borm ‘Thiruvarut Prakasa Vallalar’ (திருவருட் பிரகாச வள்ளலார்) in a village situated in the Madras area of British-controlled India. Like the Buddha, this man was a Hindu who cultivated a ‘reforming’ attitude. This Siddha was known as ‘Ramalinga Adigal’ (ராமலிங்க அடிகளார்) and more commonly as ‘Vallalar’ (வள்ளலார்) – which is written today as ‘Vadalur’ (வடலூர்) – or the place where he was born (situated in the Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu).
