What I do know is that in the first months of the Russian “liberation” of Donbass the Chechen soldiers led the way against the Western-backed Neo-Nazi forces of Ukraine. I watched hours of footage of Chechen soldiers fighting hand-to-hand with the AFU, the Hitlerite Azov and all the Westerners wearing AFU uniforms. The Chechens were very effective and brave fighters and I will never forget their collective contribution to the anti-fascist cause. The Soviet Red Army, of course, possessed Muslim regiments, as it did Buddhist regiments.
