Wearing red is not limited to red clothes, red socks, and red belts, but can also be red jewellery, red mobile phone cases, as long as the items you carry with you are red.

There are two special days when wearing red is appropriate:

i) The first day of the first lunar month, during the Spring Festival, wearing red can add to the festive mood.

ii) The second is the beginning of Spring. As the beginning of the year, the beginning of Spring means the start of a new cycle.

Within China, there is a custom of “Avoiding Spring” (避春 – Bi Chun) at the beginning of Spring, that is, avoiding offending the numerous “Tai Sui” (太岁 – “Grand Aged”) gods that equate to the 12 stars opposite Jupiter (later expanded to 60 deities) – so people choose to wear red on this day in the hope of bringing good luck.

Everyone shapes their own destiny. Hard work, kindness and wise choices will help you succeed.

He added: “I went to Pyongyang in November 2018 and worshipped there. The North Korean government is very friendly to the Russian Orthodox Church. Our diplomats go to the cathedral, and the staff of the Bulgarian and Romanian embassies go to the church to pray. We have no trouble in North Korea, not even in carrying out activities.” The metropolitan stressed that all religious people in North Korea have all rights and opportunities, and they are happy to receive visits from the Russian Orthodox Church. He also said: “They welcomed us very much, we worshipped there, and they recognized me as a bishop.”

As for the war on the ground – the PRC will deploy a number of surprises on the battlefield. This will lead to a number of set-backs for the West in the initial phases of the conflict. South Korea and Taiwan will be taken early. The question is how the Collective West will respond to this perceived affront to its hegemonic control of Asia. There might be an exchange of nuclear weapons – either locally or internationally. The West might allow this anti-China war to carry-on for decades – so as to reduce unemployment and stimulate the economy. The idea will be to drastically reduce the Chinese population worldwide – and invade and colonise entire swathes of what was once a united “China”. The Chinese population must be drastically reduced to limit the Chinese Armed Forces – and remove the Chinese intellectuals that have driven China’s dramatic development sice 1949. China’s policy of trying to cosying-up to the US is a massive ideological mistake. The US (and the West it controls) has no respect for the Chinese people and would rather see China – as an independent nation – come to an end. Can a modern China inflict a meaningful military defeat upon the Collective West? Well, even in 1950, after just seven months in power, the Communist Party of China inflicted humiliating defeats on a US-led Western military force in Korea. Anything is possible today – and modern China might well have a few surprising cards up it sleeves.

The Pure Behaviour of Ch’an Master Ti Guang [体光] (1924-2005)! [22.10.2024]

This is why Master Ti Guang had perfected the realisation of “stillness” (emptiness) and “movement” (function) – and was able to express this through a martial technique free of greed, hatred, and delusion. All year roung, Master Ti Guang wore a tattered, patchwork robe – following the Buddha’s original example of only wearing a robe constructed out of tattered clothing taken from the rotting corpses lying around in the charnel grounds of ancient India. Master Ti Guang never ate any food after noon each day. Master Ti Guang understood (and followed) all the rules and regulations governing the strict discipline of the Meditation hall. As a consequence, Master Ti Guang had stilled and expanded his mind, and manifested endless degrees of insightul wisdom throughout his life!

Singapore: Chinese-Language Summary of “Alverna Cher Sheue Pin [徐雪彬]” Trial! (20.12.2023)

Having now read about the details of this case in a Chinese-language context – I know have a much better grasp about WHAT is going on. To be honest, I think the Singapore State is “reaching”. The elaborate story the State has constructed is so bizarre as to beggar belief! The narrative is so subtle, devious and complex that it is unlikely that all of it could have unfolded according to plan and without any hitches. To be blunt – I think it is implausible and that the Singapore State would have preferred that Alverna Cher Sheue Pin simply pleaded “Guilty” out of fear – and then the State would not have to hold a trial and be made to prove its case! Of course, there is always the outside change that Alverna Cher Sheue Pin is an absolute criminal genius – but then again – all successful capitalists are!

Singapore: How a “Dead” Body can Make More Money than a “Living” One! (20.12.2023)

Misogyny and anti-Mainland China bias aside for a moment – Singapore is a (liberal) democratically elected – “Fascist State”. Although technically “multicultural” – the Indian and Filipino population exists primarily to serve the interests of the ethnic Chinese majority. There is a reason the Singapore Military has close ties with Israel and models itself on the IDF! When an impoverished “Indian” area of Singapore once defied the State pressure to elect the “right” (Chinese capitalist) candidate – instead selecting an ethnic Indian with “Socialist” attitudes – Lee Kwan Yu ordered the gas, electricity and water supplies in the area to be “cut-off” for three-weeks, so that the local people can “learn” who is in control of Singapore! Such Human Rights abuses are common-place in Singapore – but the Fascist State gets away with its actions due to it representing Eurocentric predatory capitalism and US neo-imperialist attitudes in the region. Alverna Cher Sheue Pin is being prosecuted because both her and her deceased boyfriend – Wee Jun Xiang – worked-out a method whereby more money could be generated for themselves and their families (through insurance payments) if one of them was able to commit suicide! Such a creativity that short-circuits the predatory capitalist system of Singapore cannot be tolerated by the Singaporean State – and must therefore – be seen to be “officially” punished! Hence the witch-hunt and resultant trial!
