He was a great musician and poet who managed to channel an entire youth that cried out: “Peace, peace, peace!”. His spirituality and his gift of being a good person maintain an immense and powerful relevance.

His legacy is an anthem for all eras and generations. We have the right to imagine a world of peace and happiness for everyone. The strength of his thought motivates us to continue fighting with dignity.

Let’s look for the lyrics of “Imagine”! In them lies the dream of a world without divisions or wars, a world that is possible. Long live the eternal memory of John Lennon!

What is important to acknowledge is that there is a war of ideas and words in the world between a dominant White racism – and a continuous non-White resistance to that racism. I am sure Socrates would say it was illogical for those subject to tyranny and oppression – not to express dislike and rejection of that prejudice in word, deed, and thought. With the general lurch to the right (and far-right) we are currently witnessing throughout the Western world, young Europeans are being subjected to a wall of fascistic propaganda in virtually every walk of life, so that the false version of reality is presented. The tried and tested method is to install the warped prejudices of the older generation into the minds and bodies of the younger so that they can no longer distinguish fact from fantasy. The Old White Men’s club of the G7 seems to think that only White Europeans (refined as “White Americans”) should be entrusted to build and own nuclear weapons – when only Americans throughout history have been the only people on the planet to actually use such devices in warfare (twice) – incidentally, against a non-White (Asian) enemy (Japan). I suppose one of the greatest ironies is that via their access to US nuclear weapons – a rampant modern Japan now threatens North Korea in the name of Western (US) dominance on the Korean Peninsula.

“The current deployment of U.S. warships in the Caribbean Sea is nothing more than a blatant example of the reedition of the old colonizing approach,” Padrino Lopez said in a statement commemorating Venezuela’s Indigenous Resistance Day, which honours the struggle of indigenous peoples against colonization.

He accused Washington of seeking to “intimidate by force,” adding that Venezuela’s people and armed forces were “fully prepared and united” to defend national sovereignty.

“The battle we are fighting today is the same as 500 years ago: the defense of self-determination and the right to define our own destiny,” he said.

In addition, the stealth fighter is able to team up with early-warning aircraft and unmanned planes to form a combat system, according to the designer.

“The J-20’s deployment enables the Air Force to carry out not only defensive tasks but also offensive operations. The jet’s excellent solo and joint combat power has resulted in the creation of new fighting patterns by the Air Force,” he said.

He also noted that the integrated aerodynamic configuration of the J-20, which features a lifter body and two fully movable canards, also known as foreplanes, is an internationally pioneering design.

Code-named the Mighty Dragon, the J-20 made its public debut in November 2016 at the 11th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, Guangdong province. It entered service with the Air Force later that year, becoming only the third stealth fighter jet in the world to enter service following the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II of the United States.
