Under Socialism – many of these countries (including Hungary) were considered exceptional footballing nations. Socialism prefers non-exploitative sport to build nations from the ground up. Obviously, we currently have to exist in a world of capitalist exploitation – but surely – when the ball is in free motion we are just as free in our minds and bodies! This is the typical bourgeois methodology of building a narrative using one fact supported (either-side) by two non-truths. Irbing’s fact gathering has been first-class – whilst his conclusions are the product of his distorted political orientation. This is not surprising – as David Irving is a “White Supremacist”.
