The post discusses Alexander Werth’s book “The Year of Stalingrad” which contradicts Hitler’s presumption about non-existence of churches in Stalingrad. It also raises suspicions about the anti-Soviet propaganda spread by Joseph Goebbels, adopted by US ideologues post-1945, where Werth’s work shows the imperfections in such narratives. Werth’s book alternately portrays how the Russian Orthodox Church collaborated with the Soviet State on a non-political spiritual path.
He probably purchased a copy of Werth’s book in 1964 and spent the next five-years stealing Werth’s work and fabricating his own insertion into the plot. The original publishing of the book in ‘French’ was probably a sloppy attempt at throwing people off the ‘plagiarism’ scent. After-all, the modern science of Criminology states that quite often those individuals who willingly ‘insert’ themselves into Police investigations are usually either directly responsible for the crime in question – or were involved in the committing of the crime is some way. Leon Degrelle was most certainly a ‘War Criminal’ – albeit one that went unpunished and who has served as a ‘Poster Boy’ for the political far-right ever since. As with all members of the far-right, it is important to continuously expose their lies and efforts to ‘mislead’ and ‘deceive’.
This was the first official encountering of a Hitlerite Death Camp during WWII but even then – the West was beginning to disavow its alliance with the USSR – implying the regime habitually used ‘lying’ to mould material reality! The ironic point about this Western policy is that the misrepresentation of the history and ideology of the USSR in this instance – is that it represents a direct application of ‘Holocaust Denial’! We are taught in the West that Soviet suffering does not matter and that the 41 million dead Soviet men, women and children are probably better off dead! In fact, the suffering of the Jews has been meticulously recorded – although the US-controlled Wikipedia likes to continuously ‘reduce’ the number of victims in Camps ‘Liberated’ by the Soviets – whilst simultaneously ‘increasing’ the number of those who perished in the Camps Liberated by the Western allies! Due to the sacrifice of the Soviet Red Army in Eastern Europe – the survival chances of my grandfathers fighting in Western Europe were greatly increased! Thank you Russia – thank you USSR!
The ‘official’ date for the ‘Liberation’ of Majdanek is August 11th, 1944 – although the Soviet Red Army discovered the place as early as July 23rd, 1944. The BBC – following directives from Churchill – refused to publish Alexander Werth’s report about Majdanek Extermination Camp (to give it its proper name) the first of its kind, and was still dragging its feet upon this issue of Nazi German atrocities weeks later with the ‘Liberation’ of Auschwitz. It was only with the discovery of similar camps in the West by British and US force that Churchill relented and the BBC issued its reports. A rightwing Polish government in exile was living a life of luxury (whilst the British people suffered), whilst Churchill became ever more perplexed by a growing Socialist movement in and around Poland. Indeed, Churchill’s communications with Stalin on the ‘Liberation’ of Warsaw are not only childish, but also ‘racist’ in nature, and very much set the tone for the Cold War he would help to establish a few years later.
