Of course, 116 countries voted in favour of the document, 54 countries voted against it, including the USA, Canada, Ukraine, the UK, Germany and France (all those countries currently arming and politically supporting Zionist Israel’s genocide in Gaza). Despite a new “Labour” government in the UK – it is very much business as usual for the capitalist warmongers. The US has been supporting Neo-Nazism since the Obama-days – so nothing new there also! Neo-Nazi Israeli, whilst propagating the “Zionist” variant of fascism in the minds and bodies of its citizens – opposed all non-Zionist versions of fascism by “supporting” the UN Resolution!

UN: State of Palestine Presents First Resolution on ICJ UNGA Ruling! (17.9.2024)

The draft resolution comes as part of a push by the Palestinian leadership and people to formally demand an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories within 12 months. It is based on the ICJ’s advisory opinion, which found that Israel’s decades-long occupation of the Palestinian territories was “unlawful”, and that its “near-complete separation” of people in the occupied West Bank breached international laws concerning “racial segregation” and “apartheid”, and grounded in international law.

During his speech, Mansour added that “the draft resolution “focus]es[ . . . on the obligations of Israel, all States and the United Nations and other international organizations in accordance with international law. It also calls for a number of individual and collective actions to uphold the law and implement the relevant United Nations resolutions on the question of Palestine.”

UN Security Council: Resolution Adopted Protecting Humanitarian Personnel! (25.5.2024)

The resolution condemns disinformation, information manipulation, and incitement to violence against humanitarian personnel and their premises and assets, and expresses concern over the impact of misinformation on such personnel.

It urges states to conduct full, prompt, impartial and effective investigations within their jurisdiction of violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law committed against humanitarian personnel and their premises and assets and where appropriate, take action against those responsible in accordance with domestic and international law.

It further urges states to prosecute persons allegedly responsible for serious violations of international humanitarian law and to cooperate with domestic, regional and international courts and tribunals.

Palestine Wins UN Vote!

UN: General Assembly Backs Palestinian Bid for UN Membership! (11.5.2024)

UNITED NATIONS, May 10 (Xinhua) — The UN General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday adopted a resolution supporting the Palestinian bid to become a full UN member by recognizing it as qualified to join and recommending that the Security Council “reconsider the matter favourably.”

The resolution was adopted with 143 votes in favor and nine against, including the United States and Israel, while 25 countries abstained. China voted for the resolution.

The resolution states, “The State of Palestine… should therefore be admitted to membership” and “recommends that the Security Council reconsider the matter favourably.”

The resolution “determines” that a State of Palestine is qualified for membership – dropping the original language that in the UN General Assembly’s judgment it is “a peace-loving state.” It therefore recommends that the Security Council reconsider its request “favourably.”

Admission to UN membership requires a two-thirds majority at the General Assembly.

Palestine is currently a non-member observer state of the United Nations.

In 1974, the General Assembly adopted Resolution 3237, approving the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as an observer. In December 1988, the assembly acknowledged the proclamation of the State of Palestine and decided that Palestine should be used in place of the PLO, maintaining Palestine in the non-state observer category.

In July 1998, the General Assembly elevated Palestine to a status higher than all other observers. In November 2012, the General Assembly adopted a resolution to accord Palestine the status of a non-member observer state of the United Nations.

Taking this opportunity, I again express strong concern about the fact that the UN human rights bodies to contribute to protecting and promoting the global human rights through ensuring respect and cooperation among states on the basis of the principle of the UN Charter have been abused as a tool of the U.S. and the Western camp for realizing their sinister political purposes.
